Why am I hated by many for being an atheist?

I never express my opinions about this topic unless asked for. I was a hindu, now I am of no religion. I am hated by many for my views like I make my own destiny and God is just an imaginary source of hope. (Keep in mind I said this to them only when they asked.) I don't believe in pooja-path and I've backed my research by finding out that hinduism doesn't force anything. My parents then force me to wear the "sacred" thread of brahmins, later asking me...

How does India treat Atheists and the non religious?

It seems like those in India have no problem attacking people of other religions than their own. (Hindu vs Muslim violence) How do you treat people who aren’t convinced by the “evidence” any of you provide? How much pressure do you feel that you’re under to have a stated belief system. Is anyone respectful of those religions that aren’t your own? Are there any rational people?

Why is India Reluctant to Take Bold Steps for Economic Transformation?

India doesn’t have a reserve currency, avoids a private military-industrial complex like the USA, and steers clear of businesses with questionable morality like porn, casinos, lotteries, or betting. We aren't even exploring bold initiatives like Universal Basic Income (UBI), which could have a massive impact. Instead, we wait for other nations to act first. The irony is that India needs these reforms more urgently than developed nations. Their high-skill economies may need such measures later, but we require mass employment right now. Despite this, we neither establish robust social...

Has anybody else ever felt a weird Déjà vu moment ?

Mine goes like this : I was in working in my Office. The male colleague sitting beside me started asking me for a coffee break and I was busy doing some work. And at the same moment another colleague of mine started asking me questions related to an excel sheet and surprisingly i just knew what she was gonna ask. I felt strong déjà vu at that moment that this has definitely happened before involving both these specific colleagues. - Note : The male colleague just joined 2 days...

Going out for a first date, any tips

I tried to get advice on some other subs, but I don't think a lot of advice from Western audiences translates well to me. I'd really appreciate some advice and tips as I (25M) and going to meet a girl (24M) on a first date on Saturday. We met in hinge and have been talking off the app, and it's been good, and I have a feeling that she likes me too, considering the fact that she's flirted on text too and seems genuinely interested, and we match on...

Do you think climate change is a serious concern for india ?

Given that we have a population this big and we are in a terrible zone for warming . What are changes in your area that you feel are because of climate change . Mine is below I live in a village area where 90% of people depend on farming for their livelihood. The past few years have been devastating. Looking for stories where people bounced back in their careers after tough times. !!

Pretty much the title. My story: "I am someone who loves her work and money for me has always been a byproduct of what I do not the sole motive. I was working in a service-based startup where, no doubt I got to learn a lot initially but after 2 years my growth curve became steep. I was making money (not a lot) but I wasn’t happy and was feeling this void in me because I knew my potential, but my comfort zone was taking the best of me....

Unpaid Internship is it worth it ? Will the “ networking “ will be reason enough?

I got an internship offer from an WITCH company which is unpaid required me to go to a city 700km away for joining. I might have the option to do it Virtually but this my only chance to get permission to go for “ city networking exposure for better opportunity ” due to my college being in a remote area and strict parents. Is it worth it ? Or I should not waste my time join. It virtually and work on my skills as it is my 4th year....

We speak so much and dream so much about India being that super power but we need changes, innovation and contribution. What is the most exciting tech innovation you'd like to see coming out of India in the next decade so that we emerge as major players?

Same same question! 🤗 EDIT: The question is about technology or developments. Please let's not talk too much about the past.
