The Mind of Mumbai: How Do You Define Philosophy? Hey Mumbaikars! I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how we all view the world around us and the deeper questions that shape our lives. From what motivates us to how we make sense of the everyday, philosophy has a way of connecting the dots. So, I’m curious—what are your thoughts on philosophy? How does it influence the way you live, work, or interact with others? I’m exploring something around these lines and would love to hear how different perspectives come into play in this vibrant city of ours.... 4 0 replies

Mumbai monorail is shit Anyone here travels by Mumbai Monorail? Is it just me, or has it been a complete mess for the last few days? Trains toward Lower Parel during peak hours are overloaded they stop midway, and staff literally asks people to get off so the train can move. They’ve even canceled some morning trains with no notice, which is causing more crowding. Is this normal, or am I missing something? Whom do we even report this to? Or is this how it's supposed to be? Curious to know if others... 2 0 replies

Trying to find a home for a Vintage family closet Unfortunately, we are moving to a new apartment and cannot take our vintage wooden closet with us due to space constraints. Because this closet has been in our family for years and is a heirloom, want to find the right place where it can be reused rather than go to scrap. Is a great piece of furniture for revamping as well. Currently this is in Western Mumbai. Tried reselling apps but they are filled with scammers, If there are any website recommendation they are welcomed. https://preview.redd.it/3bjqd4yaotbe1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=32302c4bb409cdeb5063446edc1954095c38e602 3 0 replies

A probability puzzle for Mumbaikars From what I know, ticket checking in locals happen in 2 places - either on the platform/bridge or in the first class compartment. Assuming you are travelling in a non AC train - What would you prefer? Travelling first class with a second class ticket (so you have a ticket to show at the platform) OR travelling in second class with no ticket? In which case will you be better off? Given that penalty for ticketless travel in second class compartment is ₹250 and first class is ₹750. 4 0 replies

Uncle Sherlock of Mumbai Local So when I was climbing at the local today, there was an insane rush. No shock, right? But then I saw this guy whose phone was in his back pocket, half exposed. Like, all it would take is a small push, and you could say goodbye to it. Being the 'Good Samaritan,' I asked a guy if he was the one who had kept his phone in his back pocket since I saw it was almost falling out. Turns out, he wasn’t the same person. They started joking about... 2 0 replies

Need help guys, Are Offline Data Science Courses Like Imarticus/Scaler Worth It? Hey guys, So I’ve been checking out offline Data Science & Analytics courses like Imarticus and Scaler. They seem pretty solid with structured learning and “job placement support,” but the fees are crazy, and I’m not even sure about the job guarantee they promise. Feels like a gamble, honestly. Here’s where I’m at: * I have **2.8 years of experience** as a Data/Project Analyst. * BTech in CS from a Tier 2 college. * I took a break after leaving my last job (a sales role I did for... 2 0 replies
