License requirements for cloud kitchen in Mumbai Hello, A friend of mine is planning to start a Cloud Kitchen in Mumbai. He is getting very conflicting suggestions regarding the license requirements required. Is a health license from BMC required for a cloud kitchen? (The cost of acquiring this license is about 5Lakhs from what he's been told). The GST, FSSAI, Shop and Establishment License seem to be pretty straightforward to acquire. The tricky ones where physical inspections are involved (hence, bribes) are the Fire license and Health License from the BMC. The Fire License seems to... 3 2 replies

Need inputs from Santacruz/ Vile Parle folks or anyone else for that matter. Hi folks, it may appear random but didn't know where else I can ask this question. So I've been house hunting for quite a few months, and recently have come across a few properties in Santacruz that I am considering. These flats are near the airport funnel zone I believe. I know this likely means that it's not an easy area for buildings to go under redevelopment. I've tried searching for news but haven't found anything except for a news around a Congress MP demanding these areas to be... 1 0 replies
How does one rent a house in this city without restrictions of women/men coming over!? I rented a 1bhk in powai, because I prefer the privacy of a house all to myself. Now, it turns out the owner and the society has a problem when women come over. I have faced this problem in other indian cities, but I always had this perspective that I won't have to face this in Mumbai, because people don't care as much. But turns out, it's the same here too. Now, even when I am looking to shift to a new place, I am trying to make it... 1 1 replies

Vultures of Marine Drive Heard from someone that the Clean-Up Marshals (vultures) are randomly checking people's pockets at Marine Drive for gutkha, pan masala etc. If true, that's not only illegal but also stooping to a new low. 4 10 replies

Looking for good doctor for hemorrhoids/piles in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai My sister is suffering from grade 2 internal hemorrhoid. But the doctors she went to either gave her laxatives or suggested haemorrhoidectomy (which is quite absurd provided her age and grade of hem). I'm looking for a good doctor in mumbai/Navi Mumbai which could suggest something more doable maybe banding etc. In short, want a second opinion. Please share the reference only if you/your family members have had first hand experience with the doc. 3 1 replies

Other than Pret a Manger and Statbucks, what are a few good cafes to work at night in Fort ? In and around Fort/Kala Ghoda. Basically a coffee should be available in the range of 200 - 350 Rupees. And something isn't too crowded and allows you to sit for a few hours. Basically something like Pret and Starbucks, but not those two. 2 8 replies
Looking for female flatmates around Vile Parle Hi all. I am 25/F and am looking for female housemates to share a flat in and around Vile Parle. I’d ideally prefer my own room with an attached bathroom in a double/triple occupancy flat. Budget: 25-30K Have checked the Flats and Flatmates group on Facebook without much success so hoping to try over here as well. Thanks 3 1 replies
Local taxis vs ola cabs I recently came to Mumbai for exam purposes and after exams i planned to visit the sidhi vinayak which was almost 12kms from my hotel. I booked an ola in the morning and it charged 200. Now from siddhivinayak I went to shri Mahalakshmi which was almost 7-8kms for which ola was showing 98₹ while I went for local taxi as it was easily available without asking the price. On reaching there I asked for the price, he told ₹204 i asked what's the price/km, he said 28₹/km. What's... 2 5 replies
