Is Sania Mirza the most under-appreciated Indian?
I agree. She has done a lot to raise the ambitions of middle class Indians and especially young girls and inspire them to achieve great things. Her own professional achievements at the time were unheard of for Indian Female athletes..
However we are a country where personal decisions and family background are as important as professional achievements.
Just look at all the rona dhona on indian talent shows, where it's less about the talent and more about other familial factors.
Especially in a charged political environment, some of her personal decisions won't sit well with a large section of middle class India. -

Racism against India by white people is often normalized on almost every social media platform. However, if they experience even a little bit of racism from Indians, or find culture weird (on social media or face to face experiences), they quickly start complaining. Whatâs your take on this?

Meghalaya is the rich one
Mostly coal mining, also This is just because the wealth gap is so huge, and the less amount of rural folk. Most villagers are poor, the rich ones are very few.
The Supreme Court of India ruled that Meghalaya Tribals have the right to own coal that existed on their own property. Because typically, individuals do not have the permission to own the coal nor mine it on their property if they found coal, they had to inform it to the government, so this ruling brought massive wealth to coal districts of Meghalaya, primarily the Pnars in Jaintia Hills who were the biggest beneficiaries.
Those who were involved in the coal industry in Meghalaya were mostly/almost entirely from rural households. Being from Shillong, I used to hear stories about how these Pnars would spend insane amount of wealth everytime they came to the city as they were involved in this business, they invested heavily in land and properties in Shillong. And many did not properly manage their money and spent it like crazy until they became broke when there was a ban on coal mining and they had to stop sending their children to good schools in the city. I had several Pnar classmates who came from these backgrounds and had to leave as soon as coal mining got banned -
