Help with reinstalling Mac OS I used the bootable USB drive method and got hit with the 403 forbidden error when I tried to run the installer. How to connect two external USB-C monitors to M1 Macbook Air? If not, is there any other portable screen extender than works with M1 Macbook Air? I purchased a S3 triple screen extender, https://www.amazon.com/domyfan-Extender-S3-Portable-Compatible/dp/B0CRGX9ZYP?th=1, but only one screen turns on at a time. I know now that you need a Displaylink hub to connect more than one external monitor to a M1 Mac. I purchased such an adaptor, but it has two HDMI outputs. Simply connecting to the screens with HDMI to USBC cables does nothing. The screen extender I purchased only has USB-C ports, but it seems every displaylink product is just usbc to hdmi, how can I connect both sides of my screen... 5 4 replies

Why is it so hard to find saved files on Mac Old windows user just starting out with Mac. Finding it hard to find files, the "Recent" folder on mac doesn't actually show your recently downloaded files, and sorting isn't by date for some reason? Custom keyboard shortcut ? Is there any way possible to make to make a custom keyboard shortcut to instantly open the airdrop share menu? Something that's been bordering me is the amount of clicks necessary to share a file with airdrop to my Iphone. File Sharing on MacOS - force "connect as" to be registered used, instead of Apple ID Hi I've got a question with regards to file sharing on mac. I just bought a new M4 Pro MBP running 15.3 Sequioa. Why is my 14 inch M3 Pro all of a sudden feeling like an old HP laptop after installing sequoia 15.3? I bought my m3 pro (18gb Memory, 1tb ssd) about a year ago now. When using ssh, unable to read $/.config directory I have an M2 MacBook Air I have been using for some time with fish as the default shell. I routinely ssh to the machine from my iPad and from my iPhone using Blink as the ssh client and it has been reliable. I just got a new M4 mac mini and set it up using Migration Assistant with the source being the M2 MacBook Air. Everything is now working fine on the M4 mini. Macbook with Internet Recovery Infinite Loop Hello, I’ve got an 2019 Macbook Pro A2159 that enters directly into Internet Recovery mode and nothing more can be done (tried different commands). After doing it, an Apple logo with charging bar/chime appears followed by a black screen, so it reboots again into Internet Recovery. Any idea? translating HTML encoding in filenames I have big piles of files that we've downloaded in ages past (and not so past) whose names were HTML encoded, and I'd like to bulk convert them to readable text. I can, and have, used MacOS's Rename command and had it replace %20 with an space, then go back and replace %28 with (, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera...and I guess I could make an Automator script but those skills are almost nonexistent. So, does anyone know of an existing utility, terminal command, or Automator script that would accomplish this?... 4 1 replies
Does anyone have issues with Safari on their Macs? I don't know what happened, but for the past 3 weeks to a month, Safari simply doesn't load any webpages for me other than Google searching and Youtube. However, when I use Firefox, everything loads just fine. I don't like using Firefox and still want to use Safari. Does anyone else have this issue or had this issue and know a fix?
