  1. Where’s the line between flirting and being a pervert?

    8 months
    Woman's point of view:
It's not strictly about looks. You can be charming without being good looking.

It is flirting when you talk nicely, notice the response of the girl and act accordingly. If she flirts back, you should keep flirting.

If she is being nice, leave her alone. If she says she is not interested, leave her alone. If she just smiles and does not say anything, leave her alone.

This is the difference. After your first move, see if the girl is reciprocating. If she is, it's flirting, if she is not, you will be seen as a perve...

  4. Girls who got married and are living with in laws...how is it going ??

    8 months
From Reddit or any social platform, I understand that people here represent roughly 1-2% of the population.

Those who are happy are likely in greater numbers, but they may not take the time to share their happiness here, while those who are sad may spend time here to express their feelings, and as a result, their voices may matter more.

However, from my observations around my locality—family, neighbors—no woman in an arranged marriage with an unemployed or low-wage husband seems to be happy so far.

I am talking about women numbers like 18-20 whom I have observed, and the average suggests that they aren't happy inside. It's another thing that they continue to endure or even ignore, but I mean, yes, the situation with in-laws can be messy.

Mother-in-law and wife is a classic dynamic.

My opinion is that most of these sisters' relationship wasnt realistic, they aren't bitchy to each other, they dont have petty fights, they aren't even sarcastic with each other.

Women need not be always nice to one another for a bond to be formed,in fact always being nice hinders the development of deep bonds.

Itv can either do saccharine, always good to each other kind of bonds or it can do dynamics where one sister is evil wants to "snatch" the guy from another.

I like jeevika-manvi,they have made me teary eyed,I like khushi payal, zoya noor but I also want some different, realistic dynamics, where women aren't limited to being nice to one another.

And yes varsha's-akshara's dynamics werent realistic or relatable either.

  11. Is this city safe enough for a woman to live alone?

    8 months
I'm a woman who lived alone in a studio apartment in Bangalore for 3 years. In a secure, gated community. It was the best time of my life.

I did have some ground rules though. I never (not even once) ventured outside the apartment conplex when it became dark unless I had trusted people around.

And never make foolish decisions and call people whom you hardly know into your house. Be wary of Swiggy delivery folk etc. as they may notice your daily movements and deduce that you are alone. Dont get too friendly with security/other building personnel.

Be friendly with your neighbours, and if you trust them, you may hand over a duplicate of your house keys in case you lose yours. Goes without saying then that you keep nothing too valuable in your house. But be wary of them too.

Oh, and carry some pepper spray around with you.

Having said all this, it genuinely felt very liberating and free to stay by myself! Have fun OP 😊

I don't think we should be leading with political ideologies to identify ourselves.

Social media and reddit specifically encourage people to identify themselves as a part of one group or another so that they can later be manipulated into group-think and eventually goaded into voicing shrill opinions on complex things and into supporting things that are actually against their interests.

In the words of the horrible transformer movie dialogue:
There's always more than what meets the eye .

Chill out and Have a nice day!
  18. What can we do to change India?

    8 months
If we demolished British systems completely, what options do we have in this modern era ? Ancient gurukul isn't reliable for today's need. The problem is our curriculum and educational structure, which isn't updated regularly.

As long as you don’t make silly decisions you’ll be fine. Living here is not that bad. Hope you enjoy your independence. :)
