Scammers everywhere. 😡 Met a few similar donation scammers outside metro entrances. They asked me to do a recurring monthly subscription type donation using my UPI. When I asked for more details about proof of work and validity, they fumbled.

Guys never let anyone set up Recurring Payments or Autopay on your UPI.

The greatest joke is that when it gets too tricky to get these highly skilled people into the US on a visa, companies still hire them, they just hire them in Mexico or Canada where it's WAY easier to get them in on visas, (although Canada is closing this a bit now.) The US companies I worked for paid them what they'd have been paid here in the US, (so they were VERY well off in Mexico), and they were effectively in the same time zone as the hiring company. Thanks to NAFTA/USMCA, (depending on how old you are), they can then just fly these " not employees" up to the US to work for months/years at a time. Instant Visa without all the paperwork. The only difference I ever saw as small companies can't afford this approach, so they can't compete and those high skilled, English speaking, highly motivated, and frankly VERY solid people you likely want in your area and instead those people are with their wives/husbands/children buying houses, cars, groceries, insurance, and paying taxes in either Mexico or Canada but still "taking some American's job." All any of this does is create arbitrage opportunities which give some pretty substantial advantages to large corporations who can afford to set it up.
