I also learnt shahmukhi like 3-4 years ago! Reading fluency come with time and practice. Keep on writing in it, anything random will work. You can write your thoughts in it. What in used to was I liked to write so I would search for shahmukhi written poetries or essays and then write that up each word by word. Eventually I picked it up within few months!

For majhi punjabi I would recommend you to listen to some news interviews of locals. Any city of Lahore, Amritsar, gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, shekhupura, Sialkot etc will work for you. Though I'd recommend you to look for news interviews based in Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur etc because in west Punjab I've observed people switch to speaking urdu when giving interviews on camera.

Also watch some punjabi movies, you'd learn some general punjabi. I'd say to watch 'angrej' movie, it's available on YouTube ( with English captions ) and also will show you how punjab and lifestyle was like back in the day.
