We're planning a trip to Visakhapatnam and surrounding areas like Araku etc... We're a family of 23 people, and we never go on trips, this is kind of our first trip. We're planning for a 3 or 4 day trip in and around Visakhapatnam. We're planning to rent a mini bus or something like that. Urban area.

I tried to find the urban extent of vizag excluding it's hills. Bheemli is not included in vizag-2, which covers an area of 37km² encompassing the areas of Yendada, Rushikonda and Madhurwada. I included the areas of Angampudi and Pendurthi in Vizag-1 although they're somewhat quite far from the 'core' city of Vizag. Vizag-1 encompasses an area of about 237km². Combining these, the total urban extent of Vizag is approximately 280 km². Allowing for a margin of error (30-40 km²), the range would be between 250 and 320 km²....

Appreciation Post

I am visiting Vizag for the first time since my first thought. I find this place better than most Indian cities I've visited in every way possible. Decent traffic, nice people, small enough to have that sense of community among the folks that live here, large enough to have expansive roads and variety of culture, people, and places. Haven't seen so much greenery and an importance to parks and common places anywhere else. Felt so welcome, I am hoping I could live here at some point, haha. A few...
