Ever struggled with train ticket cancellations and refunds? Here's something for you! As an open-source developer, I always felt the lack of a clear and easy way to understand train ticket cancellation rules and refund policies. So, I decided to create a platform that explains it all in a simple, understandable way. It also includes a refund calculator to make things even easier! Built entirely open-source to help as many people as possible. What do you think about such a tool? Would this be helpful to you? 2 6 replies

Growing hate on Social Media is deeply concerning. https://preview.redd.it/fv437tw3td9e1.png?width=582&format=png&auto=webp&s=234975f5b79fb9c1f9bea0557aaf29ad9c6e0d51 Almost all the comments under this post were not in good taste, few of it were very xenophobic. This is the result of hate politics happening in this country since a decade. People assume everyone from north as a s@nghi and casually throw the word vadakkan. We take offence when others call as Madrasis but now we too are replicating that. That word was used in meme language but now everyone started using it, I saw a senior got employee ( tahsildar level ) use that word, even... 4 10 replies

Mental-health tip: you can use techniques from cognitive behavioral therapies to improve your mental well-being. You don't need a professional therapist for this. Many of us struggle with mental health issues. Some of us may really need to see psychologists or psychiatrists or require medication, but most of us don't. We may suffer, but we are not clinically ill enough to require professional help. If this is you, then you should consider using techniques from cognitive behavior therapies to help yourself face your challenges. I find the academic and clinical speak in this area quite annoying, but the fundamental ideas of cognitive behavioral approaches are simple: * Our cognition, emotions, and behaviors... 1 0 replies

Can Golu be celebrated any other time of the year than Navaratri? Hey folks. Got a question. I’m a Tamil and Bengali Brahmin (Moms TamBrahm, Dads BongBrahm) In our Tamil culture we have the beautiful celebration of Golu during Navaratri. My parents have a deal that we celebrate all the Tamil festivities throughout the year but Durga Puja (during Navratri) needs to be in Bengali style! But I really want to celebrate Golu too. As during Durga Puja that gets impossible I wanted to know if Golu can be set up during other times of the year. We are Shiva Devotees.... 3 5 replies

Elephant in the room I might get cancelled for this given the recent situation, but anyway—ketaren! To the men and women of Tamil Nadu!! I saw a random post on Instagram where the person had posted something about dowry. Now, 80% of the comments were from men, and most of them were about alimony and Atul Subash. Some comments were about women demanding more salary, a house, and a car (like a package). Everyone seems to be really angry about this! First of all, as a woman, I am sorry for what happened... 5 10 replies

India's GST Council's pops a new tax on popcorn Before exploring how popcorn became ubiquitous across societies worldwide, let's examine its relationship with tax inflation. During World War II, even wealthy civilians struggled to afford a single daily meal. Meanwhile, poor farmers roasted popcorn to stave off hunger. The rich, faced with no alternatives and the threat of starvation, reluctantly set aside their pride. They often ate popcorn secretly at night to avoid being seen consuming what was considered a poor man's food. This dynamic led to popcorn's popularity in theaters, where darkness provided the anonymity for people... 1 0 replies
