How about a 10% Flat Tax

Why not a flat 10% income tax. Everyone pay 10% of their income per year as income tax whether it's 1L or 1 crore per year. Also keep GST at a flat 10%. If everyone chips in 10% it would be more than enough to run this country. Less than 6% of the population actually pays income tax so it's better if everyone (100%) pays 10%. Also reduce all other taxes to just a flat 10%. The problem a large portion of the population will protest against this and...

Do big institutions make candlestick patterns to trap retail investors?

I feel this many times, especially while seeing stock recommendations from firms like Motilal Oswal or ICICI Securities. Like recently, they entered Cipla at ₹1529, and then it fell to ₹1450 levels, they suddenly gave buy recommendation. It looks like these patterns are made to tempt retail investors to enter, especially when DIIs are sitting on losses because their moves went wrong. Are retail traders being fooled into predictable entries and exits so big players can recover their losses? What you all think?

Tax Reduction : Key to economic growth

Rather than increasing taxes and paying off our deficit and borrowing finance minister should rather reduce it and boost private consumption and investments in economy This would not only lead to increased money supply but also reduce our trade deficits as money is better utilised by private individuals/organisations than government (At least it won’t be used to fill corrupt and inefficient politicians pockets) I know government needs tax to provide basic healthcare and education services but bombarding middle class with taxes will only weaken the economy Instead of using...

Request for SEBI to Mandate Disclosure of Historical Performance of Stock Analyst in TV Media like Zee Business

I wanted to bring up an important topic regarding transparency in stock recommendations made by analysts in the media. Currently, there are no specific regulations from SEBI that require public disclosure of the historical performance of individual stock recommendations. This lack of transparency can make it difficult for investors to assess the reliability and credibility of these recommendations. I believe that implementing a regulation requiring analysts to disclose the historical performance of their stock recommendations would greatly benefit investors. It would allow us to make more informed decisions based...

    Investing at the right time

Instead of investing based on some trendy insights, isnt it better to wait and watch those company stocks on a real time basis for a few years? Like studying the stock market visually instead of getting your hands dirty and losing some sum. It seems people nowadays jump to conclusions after watching a finfluencer and dont do their due diligence. I am currently 24 and I think I will only invest in Nifty 50 or any other investments which does not require a lot of watching on a real...
