Leverage for Swing Trading (cash) without MTF?

Is there a way to get extra leverage for swing trading in stocks without MTF? I have pledged margin, but I don't believe it can be used for holding positions for more than a day.

Sai Life Sciences - Book Profit or Hold. My view is long term

I got allotment in Sai Life. Applied because of the nature of the buisness. A world class CRDMO buisness. a long term story But after listing, CFO and senior executives sold 80% holding. So I am now confused whether to hold it or book profit. https://preview.redd.it/34chz0xf1t9e1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84a25631eb2ed82c3fb284c2c493943dfc3a6906

Does anyone have investment experience with Planify VentureX fund for SME Growth?

I recently came across articles about the Palnify VentureX Fund, which invests in Pre-IPO SME shares. This fund is an Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). Typically, the minimum investment requirement for such funds is Rs. 1 Crore, but it appears that for this fund, the minimum investment is only Rs. 25 Lakhs. Has anyone invested in this fund? If so, what has been their experience? I would appreciate it if anyone with insights about the fund could share their views.

    Need Advice

I'm new to the market and after a month of learning and back trading, I want to start with the real thing. There are a few things I want to ask: 1. I have read a lot about using tick by tick charts. Can someone who have used it share their thoughts on tick vs time based charts? I could only find Upstox who is providing tick charts for free, which leads to the second question. 2. Can I open multiple demat accounts and not use it? I have...

    India’s growth forecast

6.5% GDP growth for India in 2024-25 feels like a slap in the face for a nation that’s supposed to be the world’s ‘growth engine.’ This is the same growth rate we had back in the 80s —are we really progressing, or just running in circles? For a country with massive potential and a young workforce, this is not just abysmal, it’s downright embarrassing.

Thoughts on Abakkus Smart Flexi Cap Portfolio from Motilal Oswal? (2.5% RIA charges + 0.5% brokerage)

Hi everyone, I'm considering investing in the Abakkus Smart Flexi Cap Portfolio offered through Motilal Oswal. Would appreciate some feedback on whether this is worth considering. Key details: - Portfolio focuses on top 250 companies by market cap - Holds up to 25 stocks - Benchmark: Nifty 200 - Investment horizon: 3-5 years - Risk profile: Aggressive The charges seem quite high: - RIA charges: 2.5% p.a. (charged as 1.25% every 6 months) - Brokerage: 0.50% + statutory costs Questions: 1. Are these charges justified compared to other similar...

Income tax & GST are wealth transfer tools from Middle class to Ultra rich

In India, the way taxes like **Income Tax** and **GST** work often leads to a situation where wealth gets transferred from the middle class to the ultra-rich. While both taxes are supposed to be fair, in reality, they end up hitting the middle class harder while letting the wealthy slip through the cracks. Take **Income Tax**, for example. It’s meant to be progressive, meaning the rich should pay more. But the truth is, the ultra-rich have ways to avoid taxes—through tax havens, complex investments, and other loopholes—while salaried middle-class...

Are there any theories regarding hidden influences behind major stock market incidents in India like the NSE outage and IEX crashes?

I’ve been following recent events and I’m curious if others share similar concerns. For example, the major NSE outage in February 2021 and the way public statements from power sector ministers about the Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) have led to huge stock price movements raise a lot of questions. The involvement of figures like SEBI head Madhabi Puri Buch, especially with ties to ICICI Securities, and the role of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in not addressing these issues fully, has made me wonder if there are hidden players at...

    We Deserve Better From Influencers

Upper circuit- PROP FIRM! checkout full Vid- on YT- Tyagi Market Maker. With proof In my last post, I shared how some influencers promoted a brand that ended up scamming thousands of people. It really got me thinking—how do we decide to buy products or services? Most of the time, it’s because we **see**, **hear**, and **trust** what’s being shown to us, especially on social media. This is exactly how it happened to me. I saw a reel with over 1M+ views promoting a seemingly credible prop firm challenge....

    Motilal Oswal 📈

Noticed that Motilal Oswal's fund has great funds like micap, multicap, business cycle and manufacturing. They have been outperforming most of the funds out there, and gave great returns in this sideways market. One thing to notice here that their funds portfolio have a very large overlap. Should one invest in them ?

BSNL has attracted good number of subscribers, I believe they should do something now to benefit from this momentum shift otherwise they will loose soon. Plans in motion: - in recent event, BSNL officials said that they are gearing up to introduce new recharge plans that will be bundled with popular OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime. - availability of the new eSIM by March 2025. However, its not enough as they are way behind in provinding latest technology like 5G and nation wide coverage. They are still...
