As a 22M, is my investing approach right?

Hi, i’m a 22M and i started investing last month. I have opened a SIP (with a long term goal of at-least 10yrs) Now I want to invest a lump sum directly in nifty based on market performance- not trading but investing Right now my knowledge for the same is not great so I am using varsity to understand the basics and learn macro analysis. I might start another sip with a goal of 2-3 years but I don’t wanna do it until late this year because, first, i...

Commonly Asked Questions Related to the Financial Market

**1. Why fed reducing its rate impact the Indian market?** => The U.S. dollar is the world's reserve currency, and its value hinges on trust in the U.S. government and economy. When the Federal Reserve reduces interest rates, it lowers the returns on dollar-based assets. This often leads to an increase in liquidity as borrowing becomes cheaper in the U.S. However, if they later increase interest rates or issue higher-yielding treasury bonds, global investors are attracted to these safer, high-return options. This "**risk-off**" sentiment often prompts Foreign Institutional Investors...

Is SIP really profitable, it’s been an year and it’s all negative!

Is it normal for SIPs to show negative returns after a year? I’ve been investing consistently, but seeing my portfolio in the red is making me second-guess. Should I stay patient, or is it time to explore other options? Would like to hear your experiences!

Eicher Motors at All-Time High: Bubble or the Real Deal?

Royal Enfield sales surged 25% in December, and Eicher Motors hit an all-time high. Great news, right? The two-wheeler market has been struggling overall, and with EVs gaining traction, are legacy players like Eicher just riding a short-term hype? Or do you think Royal Enfield’s brand power is enough to keep them ahead of the curve? What’s your take?

    NHC FOOD share rights issue

Hi everyone! I wanted to understand what’s happening with NHC Food share. I have a good holding in this share due to the recent rights issue but I’m not able to sell due to lower circuit. Something seems off. This way I’ll be stuck in this stock and it will incur huge loss if it opens on lower circuit everyday. Seems like a lot of retail investors are in same situation. What can be done?

How can I invest in mutual funds/indices in India as an NRI using NRO account?

Hello everyone, I’m an NRI receiving rental income in my NRO account in India, and I’m looking for hassle-free, low-cost investment options for long-term wealth growth. I’ve realized that FD returns are quite low compared to mutual funds or index funds, and I want to explore better alternatives. Here’s what I’m looking for: 1. Simple investment options like index funds or ETFs for passive long-term growth. 2. Platforms or AMCs with minimal paperwork and good support for NRI investors. 3. Investments that ensure lower deductions (taxes/fees) and compliance with...

This price was atleast 4 years before. And when I raised the query they just hang up when I mention 6 reliance stocks. What should I do?

    Market on Jan 3, 2025

Daily Journal: US markets had a weak session yesterday. All the 3 indices closed in red. Futures are trading in green. 10Y Bond Yield is stable at 4.5%. Brent Oil is at 76$. Dollar Index crosses 109. This is concerning. Most of the asian markets are positive. Global cues are slightly positive today. Nifty took support and gave a good bounce from 50WEMA zone yesterday. Now 24250 zone will act as a strong resistance. If zone is decisively broken, then we can expect a good up move. We continue...
