    Bearish/Pessimistic

I've been quite bearish of the markets(nifty), since it topped 25000+ I thought it had topped the markets and now it was time for a health correction of 10-12% but it climbed till 26K and it corrected a bit, but I believe there's more froth in the market given a few macros and the sentiments around. Remember all the money printing in the US, and how asset prices were inflated obnoxiously, then the energy crisis in Europe due to Russia & Ukraine war, interest rates haven't been changed since...

    Newbie doubt

I was looking at Piramal Pharma recently and the company has a PE of 650 which is far more than its peers. Apart from this the company seems decent fundamentally and their growth is good over the last year. So should I avoid this stock just because of its PE. Also a high PE means that the stock is overvalued. Why would a share be valued 600x of its earnings tho? Won't the share price correct it over the course of time? Pls bare with my doubts if they...

Tata power: had warned couple of times

Tata power is in stage 4(broken 200DMA). I see more downside. Although, I dint make a post for this but several of my comments were warning this. I hope you guys learn from it and become more factual in your analysis. In long term yes Tata power will become a significant player. But, a company is a asset and you pay a reasonable price hoping to get your investment back in terms of cashflows generated by the company. Its literally like buying any other business(local Kirana store and so...

I can just continue my SIPs yes?

I see people with panic posts saying we’re in a bear market and some saying it’s nothing. I invest 30-40k monthly SIP and a bit in goldbees. Should I just continue doing so? I want to know from a logical point of view, assuming the market will eventually go back to where it was in a few years. I plan to hold for 7+ years and not make withdrawals unless emergency. I have PPFAS, MO midcap, nippon small cap, ICICI nifty 50, MO defense index fund and nippon power&infra...

A Monopoly business trying hard to get better margins

Monopolies businesses in growing sectors are considered to be one of the best compuders of money. Business like CAMs, MCX given immense returns to the investors. Dreamfolks one of the lounge aggregator operating in airport, railway and highway sector. Majority of India airport longues are already partner of dreamfolks. Internationally too they are expanding. As already expansion in airport had been done the growth is not going to come alone from new lounge addition. It actually going to come from increasing traffic with addition of newly added longue. Why did MIDCAP specifically run up so much and became overvalued?

Just wanted to understand why Midcap? If there is too much liquidity and people want to bet on smaller companies, then why is smallcap or microcap still not that overvalued. Why only midcap and not small or microcap?

    Everyone's bearish now?

I was completely bearish. But seeing everyone else also bearish makes me rethink the possibility of market jumping back. Even US markets are just near their support level. Well anyways will obviously wait for a bullish candle near the support before going bull mode.

Which index fund for long term?

I am confused between nifty, nifty next, midcap 50, smallcap 50 or anything else? I will hold 10-15 years. I am inclined toward the nifty next 50 because the high growth companies are there only? Or maybe midcap 50?

What impact might the California wildfires have on the Indian market?

California wildfires, which significantly affect agriculture, energy, and global supply chains, could indirectly impact the Indian market. Additionally, any ripple effects on global trade and energy markets could influence commodity prices, inflation, or import-export dynamics in the Indian economy.

There is one question that keeps on coming " I bought stock XYZ, and it's down 30%. I don't think it's a winning company. Do you think it's a good idea to wait until it gets back to my purchase price and then sell?"

Technically speaking, **its a judicious call you have to make, as you have the maximum risk exposure, and no one else!** However, If the only reason you're holding onto a stock is to break even, we can unequivocally say that **this is a bad idea**. (It's called "anchoring bias") Remember, **the market doesn't care what price you paid for a stock**. It only cares about the company's potential moving forward. Consider all of the other things you can do with that money: * Sell it to gain potential tax advantages...

What is Applicant E-Sign box on the physical form of Upstox KYC? Do I need to sign in the box or leave it blank?

I need to fill this physical form and post it to them. Please see the form [image here](https://imgur.com/xZrUNLb). Should I sign in the box called Applicant E-Sign? If it's to be left blank, what is its purpose on a physical form? Edit: Context: I have this account with Upstox for more than 10 years. I got an email from Upstox saying "We are unable to verify your KYC details with the CKYC registration agency due to certain pending information. Consequently your account is active now but will be close...

    It's a Bear Market - accept it.

If you’ve been following me on TradingView, you’ll recall that in mid-October, I highlighted that the market had entered a "sell on rise" phase, with no new all-time highs on the horizon in the near term. While no one, including me, can claim 100% accuracy in predicting market movements, my two decades of experience in technical analysis have taught me one thing—charts always give signals about upcoming moves; the key is developing the skill to interpret them correctly. Currently, I maintain a "minimum" target of Nifty at 21,300 and...

What to look for in stocks before buying them?

I am a beginner investor and have invested in about 6 stocks so far, but haven't yielded any results but I assume that's also due to the fact that market is down? 1. How do you start your search for stocks? Do you just look around in screener? Use existing screeners or what? 2. If you start with sectors, what would be a good way to find these sectors? 3. How do you know a stock is overvalued or not? Can someone give an example? 4. I assume we...
