Receiving funding for my small business but unsure about how to use it. I'm an artist/designer and because of bureaucracy issues I'm not allowed to buy tech-stuff or machines. I will not promote. I'm receiving 2000€ for Business costs, which are held by the organisation and I need to formally request. Additionally I'm receiving 3000€ for personal living costs (3 x 1000€ per month). Now to the "issue". I was aware that tech could be unfundable in case of laptops, monitors, quality-of-life stuff etc., but I thought I was allowed to buy machines at least, because they don't have a "direct personal use" (hope it's clear what I mean by that) The whole program is basically about supporting women who are interested... 4 2 replies
I Launched on Product Hunt with ZERO Promotion—Here’s What Happened (I will not promote) I wanted to see what happens if you list a product on Product Hunt without any promotion—no audience push, no outreach, and no announcement. Just the bare minimum to see what purely organic traction looks like. Here’s what happened after launch: **Results:** * **Launch Points:** 5.4 * **Active Users:** 17 (up 88.9%) * **New Users:** 17 this week, with 13 yesterday * **Event Count:** 72 (up 89.5%) *Is it worth the effort?* On one hand, it’s free exposure. On the other hand, PH might not be a reliable growth... 1 4 replies
No salary only equity. I will not promote I’ve been proposed a promising idea. I’m a developer and will be approaching this startup as a lead-dev/CTO. Is no salary with significant equity (20%-40%) reasonable? How common is this? I have people in my life telling me this either a good opportunity or a bad one. I understand the risks and that more startups fail than succeed. 2 0 replies
Need some advice on startups from the experienced. I will not promote. As always, I will not promote. Hey everyone, I'm a college freshman that over the last few months curated a list of ideas I'm passionate about. I want to build some of these out and gain some experience of what works with startups. I have a full stack background and can build any reasonable application or software. I wanted advice on some strategies you guys use to test out which ideas will "work". More specifically, I want to hear about your routine of how you go about taking an... 2 2 replies
Looking for a co founder for therapy app (I Will not promote) I’ve managed to build an AI therapy app that also integrates with human therapy but struggling to find a co founder so it’s a long shot but why not try Reddit! I’m heavily invested in the idea and have some great talent involved but I need a co captain. My background is in marketing and product management. 32/F/UK. Looking for someone excited about the idea, business savvy, exp with creating apps. MVP is almost ready. Licensed therapist partners are onboarded to work on the app with me and have... 4 6 replies
Question for founders that have received VC money I will not promote For those of you that have received VC money, where are you putting your cash that you don’t need for operational funds? Notes? Ladder CD strategy. I’m curious what other people are doing because it’s a lot of cash to just be sitting in checking accounts not generating interest. I will not promote. 4 8 replies
Building a Hack The Box for Stock Trading – Looking for Devs, Traders & Finance Experts (I WILL NOT PROMOTE) I’m working on a gamified stock market learning platform that makes stock trading education interactive, structured, and competitive—inspired by platforms like Hack The Box. The Problem Stock market education is outdated, fragmented, and not designed for modern traders. • Investopedia and YouTube require endless searching and don’t provide structured learning. • Paper trading does not teach risk management or trade execution properly. • There is no challenge-based way to improve real-world trading skills in a structured environment. The Solution: A Gamified, Challenge-Based Learning Platform for Trading This platform turns... 1 0 replies
NYC founders? I will not promote Where my NYC founders at? Where do you hangout? Are there women founders in this sub, especially ones in the city (please DM me, if you don't feel comfortable posting here. You can checkout my history)? I've searched this sub high and dry but couldn't find a recent and definitive answer to this. I WILL NOT PROMOTE 4 8 replies
List of angel investors? I will not promote Is there a platform where startups can find a list of angel investors investing in their sector? I understand Crunchbase "has this" however you have to have a business subscription which costs $2,400 a year to buy contacts and even then you don't know which of the angles actually have their email address listed unless you pay which is mind blowing to me. Are there alternative platforms? Or am I stuck to Linkdein? 3 15 replies
Money is in. How do I keep track of it? I will not promote. My startup got funded, we have enough to survive the next 18 to 24 months, but how do I keep track of our expenses (past and projections) to make sure we will indeed survive at least 18 months? I've seen a few interesting products on product hunt but they seem to be in closed beta and I need something right now. Preferably something that integrates with our bank accounts and provides an easy interface: we are not CFOs and we are focusing on building our product. 4 0 replies
Fetch the Latest Docs for Your Project – Would You Use This? | I will not promote I'm thinking about building a SaaS that automatically fetches and compiles the latest documentation from your GitHub repo or project repository into a structured PDF (or multiple PDFs). This would ensure LLMs and teams always reference the most up-to-date information—without manually maintaining or searching for docs. I got this idea after struggling with React Router v7 and realizing LLMs didn’t know what I was actually using. In the future, it could integrate RAG-based retrieval for smarter LLM-assisted documentation queries. Would this be useful for you? What features would make... 2 1 replies
BPO focused on AI-related tasks [I will not promote] I am based in India and exploring the feasibility of starting a BPO focused on AI-related tasks such as data labeling and speech-to-text annotation. Would it be a viable opportunity to launch with a small team of trained individuals from rural areas? But where to source bulk projects to sustain and scale the business? 2 2 replies
I will not promote. Suggestion for any budding developers looking for a product to make So I'm fed up with the long and ugly share URLs from Microsoft OneDrive and Sharepoint. They can't be personalised or even basic shortened. So here's a suggestion to any budding developers looking to make something, make this! Make a plugin/add-in for the Microsoft cloud that makes it possible to shorten, personalise and track file share URLs. Even if the tracking is done by piggy backing off Google Analytics. I know I'm not the only one fed up with this shit, and have been asking Microsoft for years to... 2 2 replies
Looking for an Early Adopter to test my product [ I will not promote ] Hello everyone! I coded an MVP and it is “fully” functional, however i need a real life case to test it. I have been going around asking for startups to test it but they are either too busy or “uninterested”. My product solves a big pain that big companies (of virtually any kind of business field, as long as they have more than ~15 employees) have when it comes to internal organization, but getting a big company to test this would be impossible without prior success with a small... 2 4 replies
How do people discover new D2C brands? [ I will not promote ] I'm curious about how people find and explore **Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands**. Some brands get big through Instagram ads, others rely on PR, and some grow purely through word of mouth. As someone interested in D2C, I feel like **brand discovery is still scattered**—there's no single place to easily browse and explore new D2C brands. **What do you think?** * Where do you personally find **new D2C brands**? * Do you think discovery is a problem for consumers and startups? * What would make it easier to **explore and compare**... 4 4 replies
i will not promote - how do you network for your startup effectively by looking like you're not networking? Long story short, I have a startup focused on creating custom solutions for clients in our market. It is finally moving past its early gestational/developmental phase where we have been focused largely on laying down some basic building blocks–built and tested a demo to show off what we can do, created a website, created ad materials, fine-tuned the business plan, etc.–and we’ve decided we’re ready to stage a more concerted marketing/networking and client acquisition campaign. Now, I get that interpersonal networking is a big part of this, and one... 1 6 replies
If I have multiple projects under my individual LLC, how can I split equity for one of them? (i will not promote) Context: I have an individual llc with multiple apps under its belt (micro saas and mobile apps) I am looking to split equity for 1 of the mobile apps with a partner (influencer). Is the only way to do this to create another LLC? Are there simpler ways to create legal agreement of ownership of one particular app/asset in my individual LLC? I will not promote 5 1 replies
How to know it's "Time to Call it Quits" (I will not promote) I spend a lot of time talking to Founders about whether or not they should "fold the tents" with their startup. It happens - a lot. I've been through it personally multiple times, and yeah, it totally sucks, but I think one thing I've learned in that time based on my own experiences and talking to lots of other Founders is that there's an interesting decision process to follow: 1. ***"I'm keeping this going because I just need more time to be successful."*** If there's clearly light at the... 4 3 replies
How are you all marketing? [i will not promote] Hi, I’ve had a slow start with my start up and would love some guidance on some marketing ideas. I’m curious as to how everyone else is marketing their start ups? I have an app, and i am finding it difficult to get it out there sufficiently. It can’t just be facebook ads, surely? Also, it claims i have had a lot of link clicks, but this doesn’t seem to show in my analytics. Is there any other site like Reddit i could be posting on? Any Ideas? Thanks... 5 0 replies
I will not promote but how do you promote? Early traction, first X customers, or whatever you call this. How do you do that? What was your approach? I know what that textbook says. Search ads, organic contents, penetrating into communities, and words of mouths. I want to how YOU did it. Thanks in advance. :) 3 0 replies
