International SEO site structure impeding rankings

Hey! We have a domain with the root page `.com` automatically redirecting the user to the relevant country (sorted by a subfolder structure `/us /au /uk` etc). I've gotten help that these automatic redirections are most likely impeding our U.S. homepage rankings, so a change is neccesary. Great, part 1 understood. But, now I'm down the SEO rabbit hole and feeling overwhelmed. What is probably neccesary is a partial migration or full migration to fix these issues, since the US is by far the most important market for the...

    Hiring an agency vs freelancers

I realize a lot of agencies are going to have representatives in this group, so don’t completely spam my inbox. I am looking for feedback based on members of this group when it comes to hiring an agency vs hiring a freelancer. My business is in a competitive niche, but my site is good, with a domain authority of 58 and 3.3k back links. We got hit by HCU in March and have gained some of our traction back, but not enough. Would it be better to hire a...

    Is Ubersuggest reliable?

I'm new to SEO, and decided to use Ubersuggest to find keywords. However, I find that every time i search for keywords under "keyword ideas" it first gives me 3 month old data (already stupidly annoying), which I have to manually refresh. But when i refresh it to show me the data of today, it at least doubles the SEO difficulty every single time for the same keywords. So when I filter for easy SEO difficulty it gives me a bunch of options, making me think I found some...

Follow the Google Search Central team on Linkedin

Looks like the Google Search team are on Linkedin - if you want to follow for tips, updates, core updates, spam etc. [https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/googlesearchcentral/](https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/googlesearchcentral/) If you dont believe that Google should be followed, thats up to you. But given thats who issues the penalties, gives us things like CWVs, it might be important to some: nobody is forcing you to follow them.

    Ongoing traffic drop since December

Has anyone noticed a drop in traffic after Christmas? I understand part of the reason might be related to post-holiday habit changes, but it seems more significant compared to our historical data from last year. I'm also wondering if anyone is still experiencing impacts from Google's two updates in December.

One More Question. How Many 301 Redirects Allow on the WordPress Website?

I have many old webpages and I want to change the URLs of these pages and then use 301 redirect to redirect the old url to the new url. It's like 20-25 pages. Will this cause any negative effect on the website? Like reduce in speed, or SEO issue? And this comes under white hat SEO, correct?

    Stuck in Link Building

Hey Guys, I am an SEO with 3 years of experience, but the problem is that mainly I have done just link building work at least for 2 years out 3 years. In my first year, I started as an SEO executive but they only give me Guest Posting Outreach work mainly and for the whole year I kept asking for on-page work or something else, but they didn't. So, I resigned after 1 year of experience. Then in my next company (Second year), I was the only SEO...

    Visibility on maps

Can a business’s visibility decrease if it is bundled in a directory? Ex, my client’s clinic is in an office building with many other businesses and Google has bundled them all under the building’s address. So now the clinic is under the building’s directory. I tried to see if I can get any info on this but I couldn’t find anything so thought of asking the sub.

Single page target 10+ services keyword.

Question for you guys, I have a friend who owns a website that already ranks well for a geo-targeted keyword, like *'plumbing services in Mumbai.'* Now, he wants to target all his services on this single page, such as *'Water Leak Repair Service in Mumbai,'* *'Washing Machine Installation in Mumbai,*' and 10+ other similar keywords. However, he doesn’t want to create separate pages for each keyword. How would you handle this situation? what I should suggest him. without hurting SEO.

Keyword Cannibalization - trying to build topical authority in my space

I'm new to this space so go easy on me! I'm trying to optimize a dive center's website. It has been up and running for about 10 years with 90 pages of random blogs that have been typed up over the years with no actual SEO strategy involved. Most just like "day in the life of" but more recently they had tried to publish more "how to" type stuff. I came in to clean up the content a bit, find any pages that are working ok but that we...

How are you doing copywriting (SEO/agency)

Hi, I'm starting to think about having my own growth marketing/SEO/SEM agency/freelancing. And I was wondering as a one person team at first. How do you handle blog copywriting for clients when it comes to SEO? I don't do copywriting, and this is extremely important as you know. Do you hire on platforms like fiver/Upwork? Also, if anyone can help. What would be the typical prices for this? X amount of words/blog post. Etc
