New MacBook no iCloud - iPhone connection? Work have just given me a new MacBook Air to use. Coming from an old thinkpad I have been really excited to get something nicer, and to have all my Apple stuff work together. However, I don’t think I can realise the dream of everything working together as work do not allow iCloud on the machine (it will just error out if you try to sign in to iCloud). MacOS crashing since the Sequoia upgrade Ever since the Sequoia upgrade, my 2021 M1 Pro MBP has been crashing frequently. I checked the console and it shows that the crash is due to WindowServer. Need help fixing this, as the crash frequency has now increased significantly. Mac Photos Import Unrecognizable File Format I’m pretty sure most of these files will import successfully if done in very small batches. I have thousands of photos & that’d take a year. Maybe there’s some way to isolate these “unrecognizable files” & move all the successfully imported ones into another folder? An Automator script perhaps? Attaching files in MacOS Sequoia is slow and cumbersome HI, Attaching files in MacOS Sequoia has become a sluggish process, with latency times of \~ 5-10 seconds. My job entails creating Word or PDF documents, attaching them, and submitting them on a website. This process used to be lightning fast with the previous version of MacOS. Re-Sync behavior? Messages on Library Probably a dumb question. I'm just trying to make some space on my mac as I currently have 67GB of "system files" used and probably full of a bunch of stuff I don't need physically on my computer if I have it on iCloud too. Is there a way to turn on categories in macOS Mail, like they are in iOS Mail? I thoguht the categorization of emails in the iOS mail app was interesting. Interesting, but useless. Speech to type dictation, not working in Google docks anymore since Sequoia update! Since I updated my MBP 14 to Sequoia 15.1, I can no longer use speech to type dictation in Google Docs, which I desperately need for my forsaken essays. I used it all the time before, but suddenly, after updating, it no longer works. The only way around it is to switch to another tab, start the dictation in the browser, and switch back to Docs, which gets annoying. I also don't see the built-in speech-to-text options in docs under tools. Anyone have any clues? 3 0 replies
Is page zoom in Safari supposed to make text bigger? I swear after upgrading to 15.2 all of my text in Safari is now smaller. Page zoom doesn't actually increase text size where I swear it used to. Now the best option I can find is make text never small than a certain font size but nothing looks proportional on certain websites like ESPN now. Someone confirm I'm not crazy on this. 4 0 replies
