MacBook Pro 2018 keeps crashing and rebooting - find out reason via logs? Hi! I have a MacBook Pro 2018 running Sonoma 14.4.1 and over the last few months it has occassionally randomly rebooted whilst I am using it, which I assume is caused by a crash of some kind. Monitor via Airplay latency I want to use my MacBook with with an external monitor, but because I also want to be able to move it while using it I am against using a cable. Right now I am considering two different setups. The first one uses a fireTv Stick 4k with an app that allows me to use AirPlay for that monitor. Is there is a way to control double-click speed for mouse and trackpad separately? I am wondering if there is a way to set different double-click speed for mouse and trackpad. I prefer using my mouse for 3D applications, where I need the fastest double-click speed. Email links from iOS Reminders not working on macOS When I highlight text in Apple Mail on iOS and share it to Reminders, it creates a reminder with a link to the original email. On iOS, clicking this link successfully opens the original email message. However, when I try to click the same email link in Reminders on macOS, nothing happens. The link is completely unresponsive. GetInfo change default app not working in Sequoia When I try to apply LibreOffice as default app for .odt files, Mac says "an error occurred while changing the application that opens \[filename\] because not enough information is available. Do I (should I) need Logi Options+? I have a Logitech MX Keys S and MX Master 3S setup, but do I need Logi Options+ installed? I know I configured some stuff, but I'm not sure how much of it was even necessary? I've restarted, edited/removed/added, and then added another battery widget to make sure it wasn't just the one. Nope. Haven't touched this laptop since closing the lid yesterday. Is it possible to relocate the /Users/Shared folder somewhere other than Macintosh HD? I've got my home folder relocated just fine via the Users and Groups control panel to a 4TB dedicated NVME, but I don't see anything about relocating Shared. Seeing as that Mac OS is basically BSD, how dangerous are symbolic links? Or aliasing (the proper Mac way?) the folder to a new location? Sh¡t like this would always break Windows but hopefully MacOS is smarter? How to change text cursor to normal? Used the command Function 7 with turned on Caret mode I beleive, which made my text cursor have a line through the middle. I tried using the same function but I can not remove it, and is present in all softwares. Non-stop popups in Mail for 'The IMAP command "APPEND" (to INBOX) failed with Server Error: Server Busy I keep getting these error messages and they seem to be repeatedly for a few different emails that I deleted previously. I ended up having two Applications folders after assigning the home volume to an external drive. I recently purchased a new M4 Mac mini base model and have set up an external drive as my primary volume by relocating the Home volume to the external drive. Everything functions as expected, except for one peculiar issue. For some reason, I now have two applications folders: one in the internal drive and the other in the external drive. AirPods Pro 2 Just Showing up as Headphones I am currently on MacOS Ventura 13.6.7 and recently connected my new AirPods Pro 2 and in the bluetooth settings they just show up as standard headphones and i cant change any settings when i click headphone settings. They work fine on my iPhone and my old Gen 1 AirPods Pro worked fine on my Mac. Aida64 alternative for MacOS? I keep seeing these videos where PC gamers have a secondary screen to show GPU and RAM info and I wanted to do something similar, but Aida64 is not compatible with MacOS.
