The Globe (fn) key keeps switching to dictation, even though I want to keep it on Emoji!

Title. I want the globe (fn) key on the bottom left of the keyboard to only be used for emojis. Sometimes it doesn't pop up and instead starts dictation. Then I go to the settings and for some reason, the setting is switched to dictation instead of Emoji. It keeps switching back for some reason. Feels like booting into windows

Anyone notice the animations and welcome screen after updating to 15.3.1 They look like the bloatware heavy windows 11. Right from the welcome screen to the pop up for selling its new AI features.

Ctrl+two finger zoom works on main screen but not extended monitors

I tried to find this problem in this subreddit but no love. The control+2-finger swipe to zoom/magnify used to work but since I upgraded my hardware to the M3, the zoom happens only on my laptop monitor and not the extended one(s). Has anyone experienced this? How can I resolve it, please?

Photos disappearing after rotating in finder

I was using the Quick Actions > Rotate Left on some photos in Finder. A folder would temporarily appear (I can't recall the exact name of the folder, something along the lines of in process) but then it disappears. When I look at the file count in the folder, it is indeed subtracting the rotated file (example, started with 80 files, rotated 3, now file count is 77). Got a new MacBook and noticed something super strange. "Q" key doesn't register every first press, next presses are registered normally but always the first one is completely ignored. after some time or switching to new content window it happens again. Hi guys! Just a disclaimer, I know battery apps like AlDente are controversial, I really would prefer not to hear all the comments saying how it's unecessary and whatnot. How can I get back "instant" page-up/down, jump to top / bottom? (i.e. no smooth scrolling)

Just upgraded to a 2024 MBP (Sequoia) from a 2015 Retina (Catalina) and am getting mild motion sickness from the fast / smooth scrolling when I use the keyboard to page-up / down, and jump to top / bottom of the page. Old MBP (Catalina) jumps instantly. I've spent the past hour, or so trying to turn this "smoothness" off. I suspect that there's a terminal command that will do it, but my google-fu has failed me. I would be grateful for any help.

Frustrating - Screenshot preview keeps coming back

I have gone to my screenshot settings and turned the preview thumbnail OFF 5 times and it just keeps coming back after a while and/or after a reboot. I've also edited these settings in the terminal but nothing seems to be keeping it from coming back. Is this possibly an OS bug with latest release? Thank you.

It's been a long time since Apple shipped a computer with an internal spinning hard drive. Don't you think it's time to change the icon? I found this one a long time ago and I think it looks great.
