Tirupati Stair Climbing Hi, I am planning to visit Tirumala next week. I came to know that there are 2 ways to get to the top, one being sreevari metlu and the other one being a route via the road. I plan to start my climb around 4pm. Can someone please let me know the safest route as I and my sister will be travelling. Also, can you recommend us any shoes so that our legs don’t hurt once we get to the top. Thank you 4 6 replies

Anyone above 25 and jobless? How’s life treating you? I don’t know if this is a rant, a breakdown, or just me screaming into the void, hoping someone out there still feels things the way I do. I’m 25. Jobless for five months. My life? A slow-motion car crash. My sleep cycle is wreckedsleep at 5 AM, wake up at 8, barely human, just another machine running on fumes. Meals are an afterthought lunch at 3 PM, dinner at midnight, no water, no discipline, no purpose. My body is tired. My mind? Worse. And the scariest part? I’ve... 1 0 replies

Looking for a secondhand bike As the title says, I'm looking for a second-hand bike for a part-time job as I'm earning very less rn. My budget is ₹25,000, as that's all I have at the moment. I'm not in the best financial situation right now, so if you have an old bike lying around or know of any leads, I'd really appreciate your help. Any suggestions or input would be welcome 1 0 replies
Got Drunk. Got Surrounded. Got My Apology. Got Escorted by the Owner. Walked into a bar & restaurant, just looking to chill. Four strong beers down, enjoying my Manchurian, boiled peanuts fry. Felt good. Ordered two phulkas with egg bhurji. Halfway through, thought, “Screw it, I need one more.” Ordered another. That’s when the nonsense started. 45 Minutes for One Phulka? Yeah, No. Waited. 10 minutes. 20. 30. Nothing. At 45 minutes, I was done. Told them to cancel it. Ordered the bill. And then—“Sir, the extra phulka is already in the bill. You have to pay.” Nope. Not happening. Told... 5 0 replies

Did Christian Missionaries Really Bring Education to All in India? The Truth About Gurukulas and Caste. In a recent lecture, my Modern Indian Literature professor claimed that only Christian missionaries brought education to all in India, while traditional Gurukulas were exclusively for Brahmins. This got me thinking how accurate is this claim? It’s true that Christian missionaries played a role in making education more accessible, especially for Dalits and marginalized groups, but were they the only ones responsible for mass education? What about reformers like Jyotirao Phule and B.R. Ambedkar, or even colonial-era changes that led to more inclusive schooling? I’d love to hear perspectives... 2 15 replies
Probably fucked up drinking with colleagues I know I shouldn't have ordered the first drink. And then the second. What was I even thinking. With colleagues. Fuck. I probably made a fool of myself talking about stupid personal stuff. For which I'm going to be judged. And why was that one particular who I know is mean, and is interested in another colleague started looking handsome. So eww. Sober me wouldn't have considered him more than a male colleague (single). And tonight he looked smart and intelligent? Like my kind? Fuck. I shouldn't have had... 4 0 replies
Disgusted by what happened today. I work a 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift, and my company provides a cab facility. It usually takes me around 11:20 PM to reach home. I’ve never felt Hyderabad to be an unsafe place—in fact, there have been times when I’ve taken an Uber alone at 3 AM without any issues. But tonight was deeply unsettling and downright disgusting. On my way home, my cab driver sped over a waterlogged area, causing some water to splash onto a group of three men on a scooty. They immediately started... 3 0 replies
Phone Snatching Just witnessed phone snatching at aramgarh crossroads. A person was waiting on the aramgarh main road to catch a private bus to Bangalore. He had a duffle bag over his shoulder and was using his phone for something. Two bike borne snatchers came close to him snatched his phone and sped from the scene all within couple of seconds. He tried to run behind them but it was of no use. Be careful while on road. Burglars can come from anywhere. Just be aware of what’s happening in your... 2 0 replies

Are mosquitoes getting stronger? Lately, these little shits have been leveling up. They’re straight up chilling on the Goodnight dispenser while it’s ON—like it’s some kind of mosquito spa. I whack them with the electric bat, they just take a short nap and carry on as if nothing happened. So yeah, always double-tap with your foot. If not, don’t be shocked when one of them whispers in your ear at 3 AM: "Missed me, b*t*h?". 4 0 replies
