Kind Gesture in heavy traffic Today, on my way to college, the traffic lights were not working, and no one was stopping to let pedestrians cross. Since I’m a cautious person, I waited a long time, looking for a safe chance to cross. Then, a Fortuner came by, and the Sardarji driving it stopped his car in a way that made all the vehicles behind him stop too. He also signaled to other drivers to wait so that pedestrians could cross safely. 😭🙌 In all the rush, where no one else even slowed down,... 4 1 replies

Could anyone guide me on the best way to reach there, especially via public transport or metro? What are your modes of transportation and how much do you spend monthly on it? New to Delhi and I’m starting to learn the dilli way of life. I’ve relocated here for work and it requires me to travel to tilak marg and then to noida from south ex. I spend around 8000 on travel monthly since i travel by metro and auto. I’m considering getting a bike but reading all the posts about accidents and incidents on highways made me reconsider the rapido bike rides as well (which i realised is worse). A car would be a lil inconvenient since I dont have... 1 0 replies

Mornings without him feel so empty. I used to sleep late at night and wake up late in the morning, since my schedule is flexible. But he's an early bird since he's working,so jus to talk to him in the morning I'd set an alarm to wake up around 7am. I wanted to start my mornings with him even tho he was far away. We mutually broke up yesterday, we ain't together anymore, but this new habit is surely something I'd either wanna change or use productively. Mornings will never be the same. 5 4 replies

Band Baaja Baraat- A movie that captures the essence of late 2000s Delhi. The metro, DTC buses, traffic, the aesthetic, the campus vibes, the fashion (kurta and crushed dupatta, those tank tops, the punk haircuts for boys), India gate ice cream dates, and most importantly the people. This film is the one (after Delhi 6) that captures the true spirit of Delhi and it's weddings - all the dhol, taasha, glitz and dhamaka. Makes me nostalgic about the late 2000s - the years I have my first and fondest memories with. What are your memories of the late 2000s in Delhi? 4 2 replies
