Reddit has a scammer issue, and they don't seem to care that much. So here is what you can do about it.

If you ever post about any issue you're having with a coin or wallet, the roaches come out of the dark and message you, sometimes claiming to be the developers, and offering to "help" by sending you a link to a website where they want you to connect your wallet. This is almost always done privately, and oddly they like do it in the old reddit. The accounts they use are hacked accounts. I report them using the Spam category. You can further select "user is linking to malicious...

Give me a practical way crypto has made your life easier the last 1, 2, 5 or 10 years.

I don't mean as an investment, but as a practical use. All cryptos are welcome, BTC, Eth in contracts, gaming coins? Whichever you believe has made for a practical use case in your life, I'd really like to hear about it. This is not sarcastic or a hate post. And, I do realize the adaptation as a currency has a critical mass and so on. No stress. I would just really like to hear if anyone is getting some practical use out of the technology. For me, I've liked...

Syria proposes to legalize Bitcoin for economic recovery | Cryptopolitan

    > Syria’s transitional government is considering legalizing Bitcoin to rebuild its economy, stabilize its currency, and attract global investors after the Assad regime’s collapse. > The proposal includes digitizing the Syrian pound on blockchain, legalizing Bitcoin trading and mining, and allowing entrepreneurs to use energy resources for crypto operations. > Challenges include international sanctions, technical infrastructure gaps, and the debts left by the Assad regime, but Bitcoin could help Syria bypass traditional financial systems.

Old imac that I used to mine on.

So recently I've been given my old imac again from when I was in middle school. My parents wanted to do end of year cleaning. However I remember trying out bitcoin mining on this thing many years ago. I remember I set up a wallet and had some software running that would send to the created adress. Does anybody know what files I need to be looking for on an imac? It was around 2012-2013. I remember back then I was running it for a day and just turning...

UK specific off-ramp exchange advice needed. Much appreciated!

I’ll get straight to the point, my many years old Coinbase account was randomly closed a couple of months ago despite only ever using it as a fiat off-ramp, all aboveboard (KuCoin etc> Coinbase> bank) but as we all know, there is no ability to plead your innocence or have the decision overturned with these people. So I swallowed the losses, sold up and moved on despite genuinely having no idea what flagged their system after all this time and hundreds of easily traceable and verifiable transactions. Following the...
