    chess.com 2024 wrap

As 2024 comes to an end, it’s time to reflect on the year—and why should Spotify users have all the fun? We deserve our own “wrap”! That’s why I created [**Chess.com Wrap 2024**](https://chess-com-wrap.vercel.app/), a website where you can look back on your entire year of chess. Don’t miss out, give it a try and share your 2024 wrap with the community!  https://preview.redd.it/sx68ym6zr19e1.png?width=2880&format=png&auto=webp&s=90d0e1087dbc73a05607954c2e50ea62919cb1b1

Does anyone knows the name of the chess player who was very famous in mid 2000's and was studying in Amity school?

In around 2003/04/05 there was this very young chess player who was in Amity School and everyone was calling him next Anand. After Gukesh win in the WCC, I just remembered that his name was everywhere and he was so hyped up. It was just few months after we shifted to Delhi in Late 2003 so may be it was in 2004 but no later than 2005. ToI used have his pictures with Amity School ads. I am just curious about what happened to him because he is not...

I am a big fan of the King. It’s the best piece in chess! What’s your favorite piece?

Here’s why King is the best piece: - Master of Balance: The King isn’t lazy—it’s the ultimate multitasker. It holds the entire team together and ensures the game doesn’t fall apart. - Strategic Agility: The King doesn’t move often, but when it castles, it’s like a royal sprint—efficient, calculated, and game-changing. - Silent Leader: It doesn’t need to show off; its presence is enough to inspire loyalty and strategy among its troops. - The Endgame Hero: While the King starts off guarded, it becomes a true warrior in the...

Unpopular opinion - Gukesh should retire from Chess - Use his amazing Brain in another field

Congratulations to Gukesh to becoming the youngest chess world champion, ever. He has achieved the impossible. But this is just the first step in his life. He is just 18 years old, with a powerful brain. Now he should use this wonderful brain to contribute in another cutting edge field and achieve another milestone for India. He is not under financial pressure, he can choose any field that he likes. Like Elon Musk. Elon does not have degree in every technology, but he thinks out of box, and builds...
