I have also seen clean stretched of Cooum at a Check Dam near Thiruverkadu/Paruthipattu (prallel to Poonamallee - Avadi road). During my college times, I have seen water being collected in the Check dam after rain, and kids would dive in and swim. But as the river reached the city, it just got sewery with horrible stench. Why doesn't chennai have planned layouts like bengaluru Apart from anna nagar and ashok nagar, i've not seen planned layouts like the ones in Bengaluru. what stopped us from creating layouts with proper footpath, streetlight, public parks and allocated roadside parking. one thing i envy is bengaluru's parks. there is one almost every 1-2 kilometre! I visited flower show today! Hi makkale! Today I went to the flower show held at Semmozhi park around 3pm and was there till 6pm! Flowers were so beautiful and I recognise some of the flowers from my trips to Sikkim and Ladakh in the past. Tried NCMC in MTC - Experience is good. I paid my ticket fare through NCMC in an MTC bus today. Process is fast. Conductor told me this is his first time. He felt happy after seeing the ticket being generated(initially sceptical). Like how we all are to adapting to a new tech. Another conductor asked me how is it working??
