Found a piece of glass in my drink at Whitefield’s brewery

I had gone out for dinner at a leading brewery in Whitefield. I was slowly having my drink and then in one sip I realised some kind of granular thing on my tongue which pricked it. I was appalled to see it was a fine piece of glass! I immediately called the waiter to which his response was a simple sorry and an offer to replace my drink with a new one. I asked him to call the manager and after waiting for 15 minutes some lady manager showed...

Social life absent for native Bangaloreans or is it just me?

I'm a native Bangalorean. I do NOT find time to make new friends apart from college/work cuz it's just work from morning to night, gym hobbies and sleep. Once in a while, I catch up with my good old friends. On the weekend, I visit my parents' house and grandparents' house and have some me-time. There's never "lonely time" or the need to make new friends and socialise extensively with new people. My question is - is it just me or is it the same for the locals here....

Need to find parents for some stray pups

Hi guys, 5 of these puppies, 2 months old, are up for adoption. We are from Alavil, Kannur, Kerala, India. Recently there was an unfortunate incident of another stray dog attacking them while the mum was away. I've been advised by the vet to give them a total of 5 rabies shots, out of which 3 are already administered. They need to find a safe and loving forever home asap. I am financially weak and taking care of them is becoming harder by the day. I'm willing to bring...

The stark work culture differences between western companies and their Indian branches

It’s time to shed light on the glaring disparities in work culture between western companies and their branches in India. After interacting with many individuals here in Bangalore, I found the following aspects prevalent in Indian branches. Despite operating under the same brand name, the treatment of employees differs drastically. These inequities not only breed dissatisfaction but also raise an important question: why are Indian employees not treated the same as their western counterparts? 1. Policy Manuals and Corporate Colonization: Western offices emphasize employee-centric policies, fostering work-life balance and...

If you're going to the avrebele mela, I would recommend avoiding the paddu

No wonder India's name is notorious for unhygienic food. I went to the avrebele mela yesterday and while waiting in line to buy the bhel puri (which was also mixed by using bare hands), this is what i see. I want to support local vendors, but not at the cost of my health How hard is it to use a big spatula instead of your whole fucking hand. And the food there isn't cheap also, they are charging a premium. I hope this reaches the concerned authorities and they...
