Alright, so without cutting the crap I'll come straight to the point. Both ot us are students in the same college, and yes she's Assamese and I'm a "mainland person". She eas gone home for a week, so this conversation happened over text... A couple of days back. My assamese bros do you empathise with bodos who were look downed upon/faced castiesm in upper assam in the past because of their language , culture and bathouism?

Yea so basically my bodo friend said his parents faced alot of castiesm by kolitas , bamuns and ahoms they were basically outcasts in upper assam not being able to perceive the privileges the caste assamese get , not being able to stay in the same classroom as caste assamese and what not. He also mentioned about his parents facing violent repercussions for speaking bodo. He also said that his bodo parents were rather forced to practice vaishnavism than practicing bathouism. Anyone went shergaon from Guwahati via Udalguri, Bhairabkunda etc? I had one question. I own a sedan (Honda City) and sedans have low ground clearance. Will it be a good idea to take this car to shergaon? What’s the condition of the road? Kindly enlighten me.

Why is kamata , koch kingdom aren't as celebrated as ahoms?

Given the fact their rule span multiple centuries, they are hardly known by childrens today. Even I don't tbh anything substantial about them, koch, kachari, chutiya kingdom. Given their long presence (and being tholuwa rulers) didn't they someway or other shape current assamese society/language/culture ?
