My assamese bros do you empathise with bodos who were look downed upon/faced castiesm in upper assam in the past because of their language , culture and bathouism?

Yea so basically my bodo friend said his parents faced alot of castiesm by kolitas , bamuns and ahoms they were basically outcasts in upper assam not being able to perceive the privileges the caste assamese get , not being able to stay in the same classroom as caste assamese and what not. He also mentioned about his parents facing violent repercussions for speaking bodo. He also said that his bodo parents were rather forced to practice vaishnavism than practicing bathouism. Did the caste assamese/Ahoms compensate bodos for what they've gone through in the past?.
