Why is kamata , koch kingdom aren't as celebrated as ahoms?

Given the fact their rule span multiple centuries, they are hardly known by childrens today. Even I don't tbh anything substantial about them, koch, kachari, chutiya kingdom. Given their long presence (and being tholuwa rulers) didn't they someway or other shape current assamese society/language/culture ?
