[IN] Was this interviewer Being Unprofessional or Is this Normal? So, I recently had an interview at an office in Okhla, but the actual interviewer was in Mumbai, and we did the whole thing via video call. There were three people in the call: 1. HR – They asked me to raise my own interview (which was already strange). 2. Operations VP (Pan India) – Seemed to be leading the interview. 3. Mystery Person – Stayed on mute the entire time, didn’t say a word, just vibing. Now, here’s where things got weird. The VP started asking me why... 3 9 replies

How do you think India will be growing its economy in a world of fractured globalization, protectionism, and AI? What's your estimate for India's GDP/GDP per capita by 2050? The East Asian growth model pioneered by Japan, and then followed by the Four Asian Tigers, and later China depends on a export-led model. This model may now be closing for industrializing countries since the Western world, both the Americans and the Europeans realized that they've hallowed out their industries to Asia (Mainly China, but also Japan and Korea). Some cheaper industries will still be outsourced, moving from China to Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and India. But the truly profitable industries will be heavily guarded now, look at China's EVs,... 5 5 replies

She Took Me for Granted How to let go or cope I (M, mid-20s) was in a relationship with my ex for a while, and things were great at first. But after we broke up, I made the classic mistake of chasing, begging, and hoping things would go back to normal. She strung me along as a friend , I knew I was just a backup option. She is anxious avoidant and turned my secure attachment to anxious. Breakup (Oct 2024): She ended things, but I kept texting her, thinking I could fix it. Kept chasing (Nov 2024 - Jan... 4 3 replies
India: The roommate who cannot get their own life in order and wants to move in with you **I am not making this post to bash India or justify the ill treatment of Indians, but to explain why and how we can turn this around to be a win for India and the subcontinent.** Im pretty sure we all have read the recent waves of hatred against Indians. A lot of it is actual racism true, but the hate from all across the globe from almost all ethnic groups indicate a need for self reflection. 1. Indians have a huge population. 2. How to overcome my extreme trust issue I am 21F. Never been in relationship. I have heard alot from people about their failed relation. Failed marriages. And then from spiritual masters I have heard things like that everyone only cares about themselves. Humans are capable of attachment, care , sex, and jealousy but they don't know how to love. Love happens only with god. I am agnostic. Everything is just confusion for me. I mostly want to live alone only cause I don't want to feel that hurt because I know if I fell for someone... 1 7 replies
Why does everyone call themselves middle class in India? I’m from Mumbai and I’ve heard ‘we’re a middle class family’ from my parents all the time growing up. Not a humble brag, but I don’t think people who can afford a 6cr house in Mumbai (Chembur suburb, albeit) are exactly middle class. Our maid aunty used to call herself middle class too and her living conditions were nowhere near ours. I don’t understand what’s with everyone calling themselves middle class? I wouldn’t really call my parents or my maid aunty middle class. 5 0 replies
