  2. Why isn’t fine dining respected in India?

    4 months
you gave the answer for your own question about why fine dining is presumed the way it is in India

    That applies here as well

    >The culinary culture in India almost doesn’t seem to exist.

Why would it thrive in a place where people are struggling to afford better living, when it comes under the bracket of luxury. But fine dining still exists in some pockets of India, so enjoy that luxury if you can.

edit: also what do you mean by culinary culture? does food that is not served at a fine dining restaurant comes under the category of clothing?

    >Isn’t there any appreciation for food innovation in this country where people view is from an artistic perspective rather than just a means to fill their bellies?

Innovations in food aim to improve the consumer's life and the efficiency of food business operations. Don't yap.

  4. What does society think of a lady who puts parents over husband ?

    4 months
Conventional, majority, I believe will NOT think very highly of the lady in this case. I agree and admit that it sounds wrong and is wrong. I'd like to believe that change is happening in pockets, slowly and there are more fair, broadminded people who may consider the actions of the lady, contextually in more positive light. However, one might like to also ask the question, what is the context in which a lady (or the gentleman) puts parents over their spouse ? Is it invariably, always ? Is it on fair, equitable and sensible situations ? More importantly, does the marriage have room for discussion between the couple to set their own benchmarks, boundaries and to mend fences ? If the couple between them don't agree on those points, it is immaterial as to what society thinks or doesn't.
  5. 'Speak Kannada’: Spaniard’s SOS to police cut short after burglary at Bengaluru flat - The Times of India

    4 months
I am from Andhra. I don't know kannada. Recently one of my friends from Bengal visited. I have a bike and we thought we would find some solitary place to sit and talk. I live near vidyaranyapura. There are places nearby where it is very quiet and green. We saw a small bridge and sat down there. In two minutes, two policemen come there on a bike. Probably constables. They stopped the bike and asked us what we were doing? In kannada. Obviously I didn't understand and I said Hindi? Then the guy smiled, as if he hit a jackpot. 'Hindi waaalaa??' with a big smile. Then they asked us to take out whatever was inside our pockets. There was nothing. The other guy had some beedis and we just bought two packs of cards. The guy tried to intimidate us and asked us for details. I said I work at so and so place and he is a friend that is visiting. He used some deep voice 🤣 pointing at the cards,"What is this? Do you know what this is used for? Huhhh? These are used to gamble. Are you gambling?" I said, "When we go back to college we will play. Its only a problem if we play for money, right?" Then they started talking to each other and decided that there's no money they are going to get out of this situation. Then they shooed us away from the place saying, "ghar jaaao". Our evening was officially ruined.

It's always the entitled rich brats who have problems with these sorts of easyness
