First of all, social media, esp Twitter after elon acusition cares about only one thing: Engagement. Looking at the blue tick, its pretty much engagement bait to earn money.

There are 3 categories of people:
The first who isnt racist of any sort and are genuinely nice people with maybe some stereotype. Most people fall in this category.

Second are the people from above, but has been financially impacted by us Indians in some way or the other. Many many people lost a livelyhood and when they see a majority of those jobs go to Indians, they are andgry and racism is the way to vent. Indians are taking high paying white collar jobs that they want, while mexcians take the hard work blue collar jobs which many dont want to do anyway. Imagine losing a well paying job and doing everything right and losing that to a nigerian only coz they are paid less. You will be pissed too.

Then the racists. Nothing much you can do.

We Indians are also no better. We are already extremely racists to dark skin and africans and mark my words we will do the same 30 years later when they come here and take our jobs. I have accepted it to just be human nature


Finally, have a tough skin. Whatever is happenning to Indians they are thankfully are only online and looked down upon in proffesional and general settings. We do not even face 1% of the racism Chinese faced in the 60s or the Japanese faced during the World war. Back then it was normalised and no law to protect them as well. So, get a tougher skin, and get to work.

I started my corporate job journey from Hyd in 2015. Last year I started a tech startup in Hyd. I have learnt telugu and actually love Hyd more than Bangalore (I am from Karnataka) (Hope Karnataka Rakshana Vedike folks are not on reddit to bash me up ) Hyd is my Karma Bhoomi and has given me opportunity for my livelihood and hopefully it'll help me to get my startup turn into success very soon!

If you see dashcam crash compilations on yt, and specifically of US drivers, you’ll be shocked to see how many drive at 120-160kmph and be fully engrossed in their phones.

And I have a suspicion that the popularity of automatic cars(90% of new cars sold in US are autos) greatly helps in such distracted driving. all you need to realistically care about is going straight and one leg to brake/accelerate. No gear shifts, no need to pay attention to rpm, engine load, or anything, just speed that’s it. Makes it so easy to send a text, or see a message, and as they get more and more complacent, they take larger risks like watching reels, having entire convos when driving or even watch movies/shows which is constantly playing when they drive.

So with the rise in popularity of automatic cars here too, expect more of this and expect a lot more distracted driving accidents in the future.

Where exactly is this? Is this a track to practice dirt racing? Can rookies come and practice here? More information about this would be great!
