most new traders will view green days as their 'income' potential. but to make an average per day of money, you have to count the losses in that equation. i mention this often, but it's good to think in percentages. for a profitable system that has room for income, growth, and downside protection as well as taxes. i divide my trading gains into 1/3s and it's surprising how quickly it goes down.

for every +10k:

1/3 for taxes: 3.3k

1/3 back to the account for growth and protection against future losss: 3.3k

1/3 to me to spend, 'income': $3.3k

So, in other words, $10k a month sounds awesome, but almost 7k of that is not really spendable. if you are considering going full time and not have a second income, you really need to be making a lot of money.
