This is due to the implementation of MANIFEST V3 in all chromium browsers.

Basically, Google is trying to limit every ad-blocking extension. Ad blockers will not have permissions to run Javascript and another script to filter and block ads.

(It was obvious Google would do it because the majority of their revenue comes from advertisements. It was fine when there were a few people who knew about ad blockers and used to use them, but as more people have started to use ad blockers, it is damaging their business model.)

What is the solution?
This MANIFEST V3 is being adopted only by chromium browsers like Edge, Chrome, Vivaldi, Brave, Arc, Opera, etc.

The only browser that is not chromium-based is Firefox. Firefox even said they will continue supporting MANIFEST V2 extensions. It means that you will be able to use ad blockers in Firefox easily without any ads.

Use Ublock origin extension + Privacy badger with Firefox u are good to go
