I never understood this mindset of this racistsss. India is literally known for its diversity in so many cultures, languages, and traditions coexisting.but some people still find a way to discriminate against their own countrymen. i am from west Bengal and the way some folks in Bengal (or anywhere, really) look down on Northeastern people or reduce them to stereotypes is just unacceptable.

Whenever I say I admire the Northeast part of india, or that I’d love to settle there and even marry there, some of my friends react with ignorance, making comments like Oh, so you like Chinese or Korean lookalikes. It’s frustrating because the Northeast is just as much a part of India as any other region. We should be celebrating our diversity, not using it as an excuse to divide.
