My uncle's son went to do MS last year for research and since then my uncle has been plotting my dad to send me to US for MS. I have no interest and my plans are different- also I'm in a good company now with decent package but somehow they don't understand this. They think education will only get people forward but I think work you do and upskilling makes all the difference.

Also other relatives make it seem like US is a heaven and have 0 problems but honestly they don't tell the cold hard truth specially in this economy in the past few years.

My goal is to start an online business and grow it and to do MS I'll have to take out a loan and do it which I'm never gonna do. On top of that I'm not interested so 2 main reasons

Honestly they just want you to go because of societal pressure so they can brag at functions and stuff. Don't fall into the trap - after a decade they aren't gonna come and understand your problems - you'll have to solve them yourself. Also tell them I'm old age if they're prepared to go years without seeing you then you can go. If they can hear the positives they should also hear the negatives because nobody talks about this, they just sell the US dream
