Gandhis have created TINA environment in the Congress, making it impossible for the party to survive without them. Now, INC is caught between a rock and a hard place. The Gandhi leadership isn't creative enough to win them elections and without them there will be no cohesive power to keep all the factions together.

On top of all this, they are not accomodative with smaller regional parties which still have a considerable vote bank. Congress is a party in rapid decline but with arrogance of Indira Gandhi's times.

They are simply not good leaders but aren't willing to correct the course either. All of this is a boon for the BJP. There are major reforms required in the top brass for anything substantial.

Birinji used to cost way less to make, these days most of the veggies they add have gotten expensive enough that outlets simply went for the more demanding biriyani. I still find some birinji kadais but they're mostly hawker stalls/thallu vandi types.
