Nope, I met many Tripura students, and they all spoke in Bengali. They didn’t even know that it wasn’t their own language. -
मराठी माणूस आणि अंधश्रद्धा
Propaganda posts are increasing after Chhava's release. I do agree that we are not doing enough scientific/technological advancements, but what is with glorification of our ancestors? Is overglorification the only thing stopping us from progressing? -

India: A billion people have no real money to spend, says report
Blame the low wages (hasn't changed since like 2000?) and employers are exploiting the young population in the name of learning.
And a huge population with minuscule resources. -

Is Ignis the right car for me?
been driving an AMT Zeta petrol since 2018. Clocked 60k+
The good:
1. peppy engine (1.2 ltr 4-cyl is an awesome combo for this budget) and light weight, so accelerates swiftly
2. short commute of 50-75 kms could be a breeze. You will enjoy this.
3. in bumper to bumper traffic and AC running, 9.5-10.5 kmpl is what you get on road. In highways and ac running, expect 18-21kmpl. if you average between 80-90kmpl and use engine braking/deceleration and plan your revs then 23kmpl is easy to squeeze. with an MT you could add a +1 to the above stats in city limits if you know to shift real well.
4. decent space to store luggage.
5. acceleration after tackling a corner is super amazing (not everyone is going to experience this. If you know how to do this, you will love it. much like how fiat punto and VW polo delivers.)
6. services and spare parts are very affordable. you can drop in at a Nexa/Maruti service station and get the same kinda care.
The Bad:
1. longer ones specifially 250+ is not that great. Like others mentioned the cabin seems cramped
2. less thigh support of rear seats. this could add fatigue for long distance travels.
3. the suspension is stiff. expect to get feedback whenever you pass by bumps, dumps and humps.
4. the rear design is kinda fugly try adding a stock spoiler it changes the looks a lill bit better.
Other things to consider if you are buying this.
1. always opt for showroom insurance and bumper-to-bumper. trust me they handle all insurance things easy peasy. I've had my share of dog-monkey incidents and the maruthi insurance comes super handy.
2. if you choose MCP (trust me they will push hard on this), you have to get your car serviced at the same dealer/service centre network. It could be a good choice if you intend to get your car serviced at one place only.
But give 8.1L budget, I would suggest you also test drive Hyundai exter, Tata Punch.
drop me a reply if you have any specific questions. Happy to share what i know! -

Is Mumbai soon going to be one big construction site?
There must be some takers for these high rise apartments.
Currently, the original Mumbai people are being priced out of the city. By original, I don't mean the very original tribes, I mean the families living here since the '60s, '70s, '80s.
I don't know what part of Mumbai you saw growing up but even our 40 year old house is one of hundreds of such houses in our area "where every flat looks the same".
I do agree with your 'heights' and 'towers' statement though. There was something endearing about OG building names. Names like Sheetal Chhaaya, Kanchan Ganga :D
IMO the construction of towers was always going to happen. That I don't mind. But the way construction happens is unorganised and unclean. That's what I have a problem with. The excess dust and dirt and clay and rubble on EVERY street. -
मराठी माणूस आणि अंधश्रद्धा
I highly doubt majority of people overglorify, on Internet there are few who makes most of the noise so it feels like the popular opinion. I suspect it's their objective to normalize certain things with certain ideologies. Having said that people with no opinions are silent and susceptible to become unscientific which is a bad thing.
I just don't understand why people feel proud for themselves for something someone did in the past, just because they share same surname, caste, religion or country? It's more of a identity crisis in people when they want to feel important and validated once they realize that they are too lazy to achieve anything by themselves to be proud about. It's just embarrassing to see people feel proud and arrogant on behalf of other's work. -
