Like public health, stray animal welfare should also be a policy in public administration. Stricter policy on animal ownership and abandonment as well as public education is also necessary. Most importantly, the government should muster enough will power to honestly work on the decisions they take!!!! More than half the policy remains on paper.

All three were good...but Rabir and Priyanka characters were difficult to portray...I don't remember any of these getting awards for there performances....both Ranbir and Priyanka deserve national awards
  9. Why the pushback on FinCEN’s BOI?

New reporting requirement for small businesses only that most didn’t know about or still don’t know about with fines and jail time for non compliance. Criminalizes the honest small business owner that is offline and not informed about all this.

    Cufflinks

    Monogrammed silk handkerchiefs

    A tie

    A poker set

A gadget or accessory that's stylish/high end that he wouldn't buy for himself i.e headphones or speakers

A first edition/leather bound/hardcover version of his favourite book

Artwork (?)only if you are certain of his taste

Home furnishing or decor that you know he needs and will appreciate.. like a standing lamp or a beautiful carpet or a beautiful piece of furniture.. maybe a swing.

P.s I'm not a 40 yr old dude.. just a bored thirty something yr old lady who thinks she's good at selecting gifts. Proceed with caution.

Some Bengalis are a little selfcentric even though most are open-minded. You can see this attitude in universities: one Bengali bringing another Bengali. But Odias are not like that. I had many Odia friends and I found many of them pretty liberal.

As a man over 40, here are the gifts that I appreciated from my SO(s) over the years:

Anything which is of good use to me; the price doesn’t matter.

    Things such as:

    1. High-end skincare products like men’s facial moisturizer or under-eye cream, because I hardly ever use one. Something like Kiehl’s brand. So, it’s a reminder to use it because it is gifted by my SO. Or good shampoo and moisturizer (tea tree oil ftw).

    2. If you are in a colder climate location, even a large oversized comfortable blanket is great. I am typing this while I am snuggling under my blanket given by my ex. Special points if you can get it personalized.

    3. I do appreciate the finer things in life - so a nice branded silk bow tie (or neck tie) and some interesting cuff links, which are specific to my interests. I had to wear ties to work (pre-pandemic) and so this was a good gift.

    4. Fancy dinner date - think chef’s tasting menu at a fancy restaurant (e.g., Masque or Indian Accent in Mumbai/Delhi, Avartana in Kolkata, etc.) - not a loud restaurant and something that will make me feel special.

    5. I love to read and I had a few work trips and vacations coming up. So my SO gifted me a few books that she felt I would enjoy. That was fun. But you need to know their choice well. That kept me occupied for a few weeks instead of getting bored late nights alone at the hotels or while traveling.

    6. If he is into working out: noise canceling headphones or ear plugs, smart home devices, nice semi-manual espresso machine so he can enjoy a nice cup of coffee to start his mornings, designer sunglasses, etc.

    7. A nice weekend travel leather bag for short trips.

These are all of varying price points so don’t think that it has to be pricey; just remember that it has to be good-quality.

What I would not want: anything that is cheap quality because I will most likely not use it. So a cheap watch is not a good idea. Gift me a Rolex and I will use that. That said, that is out of 99.9% of the people’s budgets, so if you can’t gift that, it’s better not to gift a random cheaper watch. No cheap colognes or perfumes. Your budget might not afford the expensive ones and that’s ok, but then don’t get a cheaper one instead because if he has fine taste, he won’t use it much.

Decide your budget first and stick to it. Finer things are often pricey and you should not feel compelled to cross your budget just because you decided on getting something and the fancier version of it is too pricey.

  20. How to settle payments to content creators as an Indie dev?

    6 months
We use [Gigapay](https://www.gigapay.co) at [Cavea](https://cavea.io) to pay our influencers. Agencies invoice us directly.

In the beginning influencers personally sent invoices, but it proved to be unscalable since most of them had no idea how to do it.

I personally wrote the integration between Gigapay and our internal payment system. As far as I recall it was pretty straightforward. We have not had any need to fix anything since then.
