Yes! You're absolutely right! English as a language can be learnt by Tamil people within Four years of Private tuition (by online ) from scratch. But the only thing is we need a standard scientific approach in teaching English from the Tamil people's POV.

That doesn't mean I'm against the English medium education. But I'm definitely against the "Anglicized syllabus". Like, "white washing" the history, geography, etc.

Ex: Calling Gulf countries as the "Middle East" (from Indian POV those countries are to the "west" direction). Even sometimes in news channels they say மத்தியகிழக்கு நாடுகள். Like [this](https://www.hindutamil.in/news/world/1325093-harsh-action-if-helps-israel-iran-warns-middle-east-countries.html), funnily 😆😂 the "Arab countries" are in the western direction to both Iran and India.

Also, saying "Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama DISCOVERED THE SEA ROUTE to India on May 20, 1498" is factually wrong from the Indian POV, because Indians are frequently traveling by sea routes to all the countries. Moreover, it was a Gujarati man named "Kanji Malam" who guided Vasco da Gama to reach India.

Literally, people in India are brain washed by this Anglicized White washed syllabus to such a level that they don't even realise they are doing mistakes (like the Middle eastern countries/மத்திய கிழக்கு நாடுகள் example).

The reason why I'm ok with English medium education is that it facilitates the children whose family frequently migrates to different Indian states.

So, you cannot change the medium of the language every three years or so.

For this I think even when the medium of education is in Tamil, the books should have ENGLISH technical terms given in the brackets next to the Tamil technical terms (in different font say "italics" & "size").

Or, they can list out the English technical terms next to Tamil technical terms at the last Appendix section of each text book. And, have a 5 mark question to test the knowledge.

At least by this way, children won't feel they are lost when coming across English terms.

I don’t have an answer but I believe they’re waiting for their Amaravati flight school to open. Because if they are still depending on US they should be open by now right?
