The idea for going to movies alone came in when people started to say no, they cant make it. Im a 24M. At a point I jus got fed up of asking people if they can make it up to the movie and decided to go alone, this was when I was a 15 year old boy who was studying in 10th std. And I can tell you that, this was an experience of a life time. My first ever movie was watching the martian alone. You dont need to hear what others think of the film, you dont need to ask for others opinion, you can do what you like (going for a break, getting what food you like). Not only movies, I have been to cafes, restaurants, beaches, cycle/bike rides alone. It has been more than 10years and I am still going for movies alone, my last movie I went was for Marco and I was glad I did not take anyone to that movie because I loved it 😂. Basically it is all what your heart says, but for a movie like dragon, it is better if you have a company to laugh out with but it is not at all compulsory. You can have your own time*. Give it a shot and let me know

You should go alone. My friends wouldn't accompany me for anything that's non-Tamil. So I started going alone. I book for night show at a theatre that's close to my home.

Book a seat that gives the best viewing experience. Reach on time, and enjoy the show. Nobody is gonna care if you're alone or with a group. And I have noticed that many people do come alone for a movie.
