Evening traffic is more compared to morning. Better to take Vajra bus to Hebbala and switch. Driving could be too tiresome. Metro would've made things easier. Alternatively, I think a few trains run between Yelahanka and KR Pura. You can check if that's feasible and catch a bus at KR Pura.
