I think the rent for a 1bhk varies depending on the locality and type of property. I've seen 1bhks from 4000 to 15000 and even 20000.
As for surviving, depends on your lifestyle. In 2023, in a month I spent around 5-7k for food (eating out multiple times a day + cooking at home), 8k for 1bhk including EB, and around 2k for daily work commute by bus (around 8 km).
That's how it was for me, I think it can change depending on whether you cook at home more, live closer to your workplace, etc.
