Here are suggestions:
1. Find interest and acquire skills in a field. You mentioned you want to pivot your career to development. Learn programming, build tech stack (I would suggest start from Python and strengthen programming concepts like oops) learn database, basic of analytics. This would give you a good set of skills. As a developer, you have to build a tech stack, as a data engineer you have to acquire knowledge of db, etl and analytics.
2. Pivot your resume to a developer. Your previous experience does not matter that much but your confidence and skills to.
3. Prepare for interviews. You have to find suitable jobs and prepare for them. Modify resume based on JD and go through interview question thoroughly before each interview. Keep track of questions, learn and use them in next ones.

That's a really good starting point, and you can use their definitions of stage of company / expected commitment / reasonable comp to have a straightforward conversation with the company's CEO to make sure your expectations on your time and effort are aligned.

If they are, and it's something you think you'd enjoy doing - then go for it. If not, then it's perfectly reasonable to pass and part as friends.

For commitment above and beyond what the agreement contemplates, assuming you think it fits into your life and what you're willing to do, you can always work out comp on top of that base -- Whether that's retainer or per-project, whatever makes sense. Varies from company to company, and what they're looking for. I've done a number of different arrangements for more effort over the years. Happy to chat about it any time.

It's upto you tbh, I have seen lower CGPA people doing well post Kgp. From internships/placements perspective, 8+ should be safe.

As the other guy in the comments said, don't beat yourself up over this but make it a point to improve your CGPA over the course of the next 2 years.

Btw, my CGPA was ~6.5 after the first year. I graduated with 8+ eventually with a decent job, so yeah it's possible but you've got to be consistent throughout.
