In 1981, I was called for an interview at Telco , jamshedpur. Traveled from chennai to kharagpur , and took another train from kharagpur to jamshedpur. There were people sitting on my reserved seat. When I showed them my ticket and seat number, they snatched it and threw it out the windows. I just bit my tongue and endured the humiliation and continued the travel standing.

Got the job , but decided not to take it. Never regretted it.

You can visit Naina devi temple early in the morning when there is very little crowd and meditate by the lake while being surrounded by vibes of the temple. You will find Hanuman Garh temple a kilometre or two from Nainital which is located in a relatively isolated place free from traffic noise and commotion. There is a tiny forest trail next to the temple entrance where you can take a brief walk, sit peacefully adore the plains of Uttarakhand. Another great place in my knowledge is Kasar Devi temple which I always find very relaxing. It is one of the few places where earth’s magnetic power can be felt and Swami Vivekanand himself used to meditate there. It’s pretty peaceful and calming in the evening especially during this time of the year. If you insist on staying here for some period, you can volunteer in Kainchi temple which is yet another spot that might suit your requirement. Volunteering itself is a good deed but it may also allow you to have access to areas restricted to public where there is no crowd and you can seek some peace. I hope you do well. I have had issues twice. Once in i20 and Jeep Meridian. I have kept some tobacco leaves, spray tom cat /3m every 3-4 days once and under the wheel arches. I can still see that rat poop in the engine bay but no damage fortunately till now. Change of place of parking frequently is another trick which works and I have also kept rat trap under the vehicle once a week or so and have been successful almost all the time to catch them!

Combining all these aspects is working for me.
