Chinnaiye se? Why does that make me a joke in the corporate world?
French people in business are usually slightly combative in speech and you work through a lot of hard fought debates but at the end the debate everybody immediately simmers down and goes out for drinks and be happy. For foreigners this aggressive behaviour is a shock, but they get used to it. Within France, everyone is this way and there is no issue in doing business. India is a huge country with a lot of cultures each with their own general characteristics. Chennai folks are usually strong when it comes to self respect and are very vocal. They are also known to play more politics than most (good and bad). Being we have so many dialects and characteristics in our own nation there is always a corporate divide and people worry that we would be assertive or tricky to work with. There is also the language barrier that we have and a strong accent. It will take good recommendations and time for people to get used to you and open up. On the flip side your team may be from dominant groups such as Delhi peeps which is why you feel that way. Give it time. If they are being toxic toward you (possible) please drop an email to them expressing your feelings, if they don’t reciprocate over time you can use that and go to HR. This isn’t acceptable in corporate but usually when new people join teams this is part of the forming process and some friction is expected. This is a global thing, there is no need to isolate to chennai folks. US business is light conversation, French is aggressive, Japanese is polite and respects hierarchy, and so on…

Who'll be the next king of bollywood after srk?
Ranveer and Deepika are prime examples of how too much publicity can be a bad thing. Being everywhere, all the time can really make people bored. It's the same thing with karan johar. He was everywhere, in ads reality shows, weddings, like kareena said, TV kholo karan aa jata hai. And it moved his image from a respected filmmaker to an attention seeking gossipmonger who asks celebs half his age about their sex lives on TV.
Compare that to actors like Aishwarya, who still get people talking because they've also maintained a sense of mystery about them. There's an enigma. And being all over the place just gets people used to you. That excitement wears off. -

Rapido scammer
That's not a rapido scam, only that one rider scammed you. Also in this case you have to be pretty dumb to not get on/in the vehicle first before paying him. Scammers will always scam but we have to be vigilant. -
