Right after the election was over, I started receiving about 10 emails a day from Hakeem Jeffries and the DCCC. They were all begging for money. "If you give us $4, we have a wealthy donor who will match at 3X!" Or as it approached the end of the month it would be, "We need you to donate now before the reporting deadline!" Both of which are complete bullshit. If some wealthy donor is willing to match, just get a big donation from that person, but the limit is still $5K for a national committee. The DCCC is a committee, not a PAC. The deadline is for reporting, not contributing. It doesn't matter when the donor makes the contribution.

I went to the DCCC web page and posted a comment on their contact link. I said I was tired of being lied to about mysterious un-named donors and made-up deadlines. I asked Hakeem Jeffries to get on the news every day. Hold press conferences and briefings. I asked that they do something, anything. Well they did something. They stopped emailing me. To be clear, I did NOT click the unsubscribe link. Asking them to tell the truth and to actually do something got me unsubscribed.

The political hacks running the losing campaigns are more worried about the spigot of donations being turned off than they are about actually doing something.
