Why are small jobs not respected in India?
People make fun of people from Bihar by calling them "Mazdoor". Do you think there will be any dignity of labor in the minds of people like these? -

What is the origin of caste system?
>I know caste system is strictly followed in rural India.
Not just in rural, it's followed in Urban too, please read IHDS survey and Urban Housing and Renting report .
>Can someone please tell how this division was Started
Well, initially it was Varn Vyavastha, Varna, which is based on Occupation, not by birth.
If you are born in a Black Smith Family(shudra/vyshya) but if you are interested in Teachings or religious activities (poojas, rituals), then you can learn it and become a brahmin.
Similarly if you are born in Brahmin Family but you are interested in Warfare you can become Kshatriya, if you are interested in pottery , you can become one (shudra).
So, your varn is not birth based, but it is based on your Occupation as per Bhagvad Gita.
But this system became so rigid and the Varn became based in birth, especially during Vedic period. During the same period Manusmriti was compiled. This lead to lack of social mobility and the greed to occupy more resources such as land , education, jewellery led to the start of discrimination.
The illogical idea of purity associated with Caste in the Manusmriti made certain sections of population extremely marginalised.
Manusmriti also mentions about how women should not be educated, women's sole purpose is to serve her husband and children, no right to property for women.
And the misinterpretation and biased translations of religios books such as Bhagvad Gita, and this biased translations bring thought to multiple generations of only certain communities made the caste divide very large and also made the marginalised communities lives very terrible.
Multi generational and centuries of Denying of education, property rights, killings due to speaking up against injustices all these acts made a generation of marginalised communities actually believe that they have no right to education,
& the extreme form of discrimination has become nornalised to them and the prevailed generations believed that they have the right to abuse the other communities.
But in the history we can see a fewer person's from Shudra communities become kings in South India, also there are certain kings who wanted equal opportunities, but their Ministers didn't. So the in equality prevailed.
>How it was before the British
So as we know, British first came to India as EIC(East India Company)for trade. But upon relaising the large available natural resources ,they felt they can exploit kings with their trade and some times war(British had good weapons), so, the British by the mid 19th century thought that language barrier was a real issue and started schools to teach English for their own benefits. Due to this, the already prevailed communities benefitted in terms of learning English and communities skills.thriugh which only they were appointed as officers. Moreover British relied on already existing village leaders( whobare from upper communities, rich, landlords) to collect the taxes. This more intensified the caste system and made the prevailed community believe that they can oppress lower communities with the legality of the British rulings.
Now, for the Army purpose, British started hiring, and many from oppressed communities came forward too.and were selected . So through serving in army the dalits also learnt English and realised the injustices of caste system.
In their town, they are not allowed to wear footwear , but in the British Army, they were given boots and can sit and eat together with all other upper communities. So this tendency made them believe that British are doing good for them.
Moreover, When British introduced Railways for theory own trade purposes , many people irrespective of their communities can travel, so a dalit from North India can sit next to a brahmin from South India. And these train compartments are nit like how they were today, the births and other services were only to the British.
So in this way , The introduction of Railways fought against untouchability.
P.S. here I am not justifying the injustices and looting of Britishers Done to India. But just pointing out history mentioned in NCERT books. -

First of all, really sorry that you are going through this. Regarding the financial help, I would suggest taking a step back and considering the pattern. While her situation is unfortunate, you already have extended support multiple times, and it did not always go as expected. If you truly feel compelled to help, perhaps you could offer guidance on alternative solutions rather than directly providing the money. However, don’t feel guilty for saying no - your well being matters too. Nothing wrong in prioritizing your own peace
As for the gifts, maybe keep them somewhere out of sight for now. With time, you will gain clarity on whether you want to keep them as memories or move on completely.
Take care. -

Stephen Miller is a horrendous, horrific individual, and I don't think this was your intent as you were more likely trying to call him a devil which is fair, but as a Jew, it would be great to not depict Jews as horned people as that is a deeply antisemitic stereotype
