I cant be sure from the video, but it did seem like you were gaining on the Creta much before it braked. And it didnt seem like you slowed down at all till you braked hard in reaction to the Creta, i.e. you went from normal throttle for maintaining speed to full brakes without any gap.

If that was indeed the case, considering both lanes were occupied, you could have come off the throttle a little sooner. At least that is how I would handle it as a defensive driver. Of course, you may have done that but it was not clear to me from the video.

Other than that, unfortunately not much else that you could have done in my view.

PS: Wonder if aggressive AEB on the Volvo in front played any part in everybody braking hard!!
