A general non Hinduism Question
I’m glad you made this post. I have often thought this when reading through some of the “questions” got some people ask. My thought on it is that people fear what they don’t know, and instead of using that fear as motivation to learn about something they use it instead to demean or diminish something. Unfortunately, this is something that I have ran into face-to-face, I live in the US and I live in the Bible belt and while I’m fortunate that I live in a college town so there is a bit more diversity. There is still so much hatred and distain for something other than Christian beliefs. -

Donald Trump’s Imperial Bullying Must Be Nipped In The Bud: ‘Countries that cherish democratic values need to take a stand against the president-elect’s throwback to unabashed American expansionism’
This is why I’m going to say right now that he cannot do this. Straight out. I think that’s the attitude we need to take—fuck no, we are not going to allow that to happen. I will not be made into the puppet of any imperial project. This is deeply abnormal and wrong. Make that your anchor. -
Tether tops weekly revenue charts with $122.78M in fees
tldr; Tether has topped the weekly revenue charts by generating $122.78 million in fees, highlighting the growing importance of stablecoins in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. This revenue is primarily from transaction costs as users transfer USDT across various blockchains. Tether's performance underscores the shift in the crypto market towards earning fees from services like payment processing and trading, rather than relying solely on token price speculation. Other notable performers include Solana and Circle, with Solana outperforming Ethereum in fee generation.

Running windows on Silicon?
>...my only hope is parallels... can I have the same behavior as in bootcamp, meaning booting and having windows environment without any mac os? So when it restart a computer I will have windows?
No, Parallels and VMware Fusion are desktop apps themselves. They are referred to as "Type 2" hypervisors that emulate the underlying hardware. In Bootcamp, Windows OS has direct control of the Mac hardware using drivers developed by Apple most likely. Parallels and VMware Fusion provide a layer of abstraction to the underlying hardware.
By running as apps, Parallels and VMware Fusion add a small amount of overhead. Also, given that the Windows VM will be running on top of macOS, the Mac should have enough memory and storage to support both OSs simultaneously.
That said, Parallels has a feature that allows running Windows apps like any other app on the macOS desktop; however, the Windows virtual machine will still need to be running, even if minimized.
Keep in mind also that only Windows for ARM can be run as VMs in Parallels and VMware Fusion.
>I'm thinking of of getting the upcoming MacBook air, because of fan less design.
I run a Windows 11 Pro for ARM in VMware Fusion Pro on my M1 MacBook Air (16 GB / 512 GB). It is wicked fast and feels like bare metal. Following are some thoughts regarding your potential transition to Apple Silicon and use of Windows as a virtual machine...
* Most macOS software worth running has been compiled already for Apple Silicon. Regardless, you should make sure Reaper DAW and Fusion CAD are native for Apple Silicon. If not, they still may run using Rosetta 2, but there is no guarantee.
* The opposite is true for Windows on ARM. Intel still is the primary architecture for Windows. ARM is limited enough in Windows hardware that few software developers, or peripheral manufacturers, have compiled their software, or drivers, for Windows on ARM. Windows has an X86 to ARM translation layer as well, but it's not nearly as good as Rosetta.
* Windows virtual machines will utilize macOS multitouch gestures, which may be a good or bad thing depending on how someone uses Windows.
Apple has a 14-day return policy, and Parallels has a 14-day free trial. It may be worth your time an effort to...
* buy a new/refurbished MacBook Air,
* try the macOS software you need,
* install Parallels, and
* create and test a Windows VM and the Windows apps you use.
This is the only way to know with any degree of certainty if a new Apple Silicon MacBook Air will meet your needs. -

"....But this security and the weakness of their adversaries led them in conferring the consulship, no longer to look to merit, but only to favour, selecting for the office those who knew best how to pay court to them, not those who knew best how to vanquish their enemies. And afterwards, instead of selecting those who were best liked, they came to select those who had most influence; **and in this way, from the imperfection of their institutions, good men came to be wholly excluded**.
