Indian Gen Z boys are not longer interested in traditional gender roles. Do you notice the same trend?
What we need to do is decenter our lives from marriage and romance in general. This does not mean you don't have romance in your life or don't get married, it means that you don't give the concept of marriage/romance much importance, especially if you don't have it in your life. Obviously, once you do have a partner in your life, you prioritise them, but it shouldn't affect you if you don't have it in your life. It will reduce the desperation that comes with finding a life partner and that "I'm in a relationship because I'm scared to be alone" thing that happens. -

Is this city safe enough for a woman to live alone?
Yes, it is safe! I'd say this is one of the safer cities for women to live in in our country. But some standard rules apply. Please excuse if you've heard them all before:
For starters, choose where you are going to live carefully. Spend the extra time (and maybe money) to find a decent landlord and a decent locality/ apt complex which is accessible at all hours. If it's a place with other young(ish) folks, you may be a little more comfortable and a little more likely to find community.
Be careful about who you choose to admit into your circle in the new city. Most importantly, careful about the men you choose to share details of your life with, especially now that you're living alone.
Build a network of friends in the city you can call on in case you are in trouble/ need (goes without saying that you will need to be there for them too). Highly recommend having other single women in this network!
Many of the problems with safety also happen because of a lack of situational awareness. While I'm not telling you to be on high alert all the time, when alone, just be aware of how people around you are behaving. I think as women - and Indian women at that - our antennae are always on, but sometimes, when we are tired or having fun (too much fun?) we can tend to forget and that's when opportunistic arseholes tend to strike.
Good luck and welcome to Bangalore. -

Why Indian society at large doesnot have the culture of relationship when marriage and kids are norm?
It's interesting how cultural norms can shape what's considered "normal" – the focus on family and lineage definitely seems to overshadow individual romantic connections in this context. -
